Made out of Polycarbonate (PC) and ABS molded plastic in 6 different colors, the Vinci Q is very lightweight yet very robust.

The material ensures the finish won’t fade, is wear and fall resistant and also oil proof, dust proof and fingerprint proof. Voopoo call these colors “Macaroon”, why I don’t know. The included pod is re-fillable (top fill) with a 2ml e-liquid capacity. The 1.2 ohm coil is an integral part of the pod meaning it’s not replaceable. When the coil degrades, the pod is disposed of and a new pod fitted. Airflow is fixed on the device which provides a Mouth to Lung (MTL) style vape.

Two very small pin holes on either side of the Vinci Q body provide the ideal airflow for a smooth unrestricted draw. The Vinci Q is very straight-forward to use with just an on/off button which is also used to fire the device if you don’t want auto draw activation.

This fire button incorporates a color changing LED that illuminates when you draw on the pod which indicates the battery status and when the battery is being charged.

Charging the Vinci Q is carried out using the supplied charging cable that connects to the Type C USB port on the side of the device, specified as 5V/1A and will take approximately 70 minutes to fully charge. Left Vinci Pod, Middle Vinci Q, Right Vince Royal Edition Excuse the battered Vinci Pod in the above photo, it’s been dropped a few times and been through the wars but IT STILL WORKS! This new Vinci Q pod kit is similar to the original Vinci Pod and the Vinci Royal Edition in terms of its size and basic function with a few differences such as a fire button, increased battery capacity, different construction material and the airflow is now fixed.

The pod used in the Vinci Q is the same that’s used in the Vinci Pod, Vinci Royal Edition and the Drag Nano 2. You can click on the hyperlinks if you want to read the reviews we did on those devices. Some of the documentation states the lower resistance range is 0.3 ohms whereas others state it’s 0.6 ohms. Either way it works with the 0.8 ohm or 1.2 ohm pods. What’s in the box? The Voopoo Vinci Q although being reminiscent of the Vinci Pod and Vinci Royal Edition, has been re-worked to include an on/off button which doubles as the fire button as well. Airflow is not variable as it now has two very small air intake pin holes on either side of its body to provide the smooth MTL draw.

Its appearance, material and length have also changed. Manufactured out of Polycarbonate and ABS it’s a one piece moulded design making it extremely lightweight, weighing in at a mere 37.5 grams. Because of the material Voopoo have used, it won’t fade, is wear and fall resistant and also oil proof, dust proof and fingerprint proof.

Measuring 96mm tall (including the pod) by 25mm wide and 15.7mm deep, and being extremely lightweight you really wouldn’t notice it’s even in your pocket.

It would certainly be pretty safe in your pocket or bag because after 5 minutes of inactivity, the firing button automatically locks. The Vinci Q delivers a fixed adaptive power output of between 11 watts -15 watts, depending on the resistance of the pod that’s fitted, from its vinci q internal battery. Charging is carried out via the Type-C USB port on the side of the body, specified as 5V/1A. Super-fast firing speeds is achieved by the GENE AI vinci q set, which also ensures the array of safety features are maintained, such as: • Overtime Protection (8 seconds) • Output Over Current Protection • Low Battery Protection • Over Discharge Protection • Over Temperature Protection • Over Charge Protection • Atomizer Short-Circuit Protection There are 6 “macaroon” colors available in the Vinci Q Vinci q range: • Crystal Blue • Charming Pink (sometimes called Charming Power) • Ceramic White • Seagull Grey • Moss Green • Vibrant Orange The color I received to test for this review was the Charming Pink/Power and although pink is NOT really my color, it did look pretty good.

Its coloring is done in a very subtle two tone patterned finish which I really liked as it adds a little something to the overall finish. Voopoo’s website calls this color Charming Pink but the package printing calls it Charming Powder. It’s PINK! Even though it has this two toned pattern, the surface is very smooth to the touch and I can honestly say it doesn’t show any fingerprints.

This colored pattern covers both the front and back of the Vinci Q. On one side of the Vinci Q body is a circular on/off button which is concave to give a perfect seat for your finger/thumb when switching on/off or firing the device. This side has the “Q” symbol towards the bottom of the panel in the same color making it really discrete.

A color changing LED is hidden below the on/off fire button and illuminates when you draw on the pod in the color that corresponds to the level of charge left in the internal battery. This LED will also illuminate when the Vinci Q vinci q being charged or it’s displaying any notifications of the different levels of protection.

See the Functionality section of this review for the different levels of protection and the safety notifications that can be displayed with the color change LED. Airflow is limited to a single small pinhole vinci q each side of the Vinci Q towards the top of the body in the side channels which provide the MTL draw. It is possible to place your thumb/finger over one of the pin holes if you wish to restrict the draw slightly.

At the top of the Vinci Q is a slightly oval recessed opening for the pod to be located in with two gold plated spring loaded coil contact pins and the draw activated sensor. There are no magnets that secure the pod to the device; it’s secured by a push snap fit design which does give vinci q secure fit.

Before we get onto the pod detail, one very good feature of the Vinci Q is the way the fire button locks. If you don’t draw on the device for 5 minutes i.e. if you’ve placed it in your bag or pocket, the fire button becomes inoperative until you press it 3 times or auto draw on the device.

A brilliant idea! The Vinci Q Pod The Vinci 1.2 ohm pod is the very well renowned pod that’s used in the Vinci 15W Pod device, the Vinci Pod Royal Edition and the Drag Nano 2, all of which we’ve previously reviewed and can say they produce very good flavor with a decent amount of vapor and throat hit. It’s a top fill design and Voopoo state its leak free (it is) vinci q a 2ml e-liquid capacity and has an integrated 1.2 ohm coil. The coil is not replaceable so once the coil degrades the whole pod will need replacing.

The pod is manufactured out of clear opaque and black lightweight PCTG material so you can easily see the level of e-liquid in the pod. The mouthpiece is a black duckbill shape with a 6mm oval opening tapering to a 4mm circular cut out to cater for the MTL vape style. This duckbill mouthpiece is removable giving access to the fill port. This is a snap fit so will require a little force to remove.

When the mouthpiece is clear of the pod, a black silicone rubber fill port cover can be lifted away to reveal the fill port opening. The fill port cover is secured on one side, with the stopper covering the fill port on the other side. A small arrow on the black silicone rubber depicts which side is removable. On the underside of the pod are the two gold plated coil contacts with a small triple airflow ingress port.

There are no magnets on the pod, it simply pushes into the Vinci Q body and is held in place with a secure snap push fit method. On the lower section of the pod that fits into the pod recess of the Vinci Q are the words “Voopoo” and the pod resistance (1.2 ohm) in white lettering.

This method of fitting I found to be really secure, no movement or rattle whatsoever. There is no chance of the pod accidently becoming detached from the Vinci Q body. Yes the pod itself over time will not fit as secure as it did when new but as they are disposable when the coil degrades it’s not a problem. When first installing your pod, make sure you remove the thin plastic film from the base of the pod.

The pods come shipped with this protector so they can’t be accidently vinci q before e-liquid has been filled. Lastly and most importantly, Voopoo state these pods are leak free. During the time I’ve been using the Vinci Q pod kit there were NO leaks or any condensation on the base of the pod or around the Vinci Q contact pins. Equally, using the same pod in my Vinci Royal Edition hasn’t leaked either. Voopoo Vinci Q Functionality Using the Voopoo Vinci Q kit is very simple and straightforward.

Vinci q simply, all you have to worry about is turning the Vinci Q on by pressing the fire button 5 times and you’re good to go. Obviously make sure you keep the pod topped up with your favourite e-liquid and enjoy your vaping experience. Vinci q only indication of the Vinci Q is the illuminated LED concealed behind the on/off/fire button which lights up when the pod is inserted, lights up when you draw on the device, and cycles when the device is on charge. This color changing LED will highlight the status of the battery with two colors as shown below: • Green – Full charge – 30% of charge • Red – <30% of charge – Full discharge The GENE AI chip that controls the Vinci Q maintains a constant output throughout the discharge cycle of the battery, providing a fast responsive fire button/draw activated vape.

This chip also controls the included safety features and provides the visual indication via the Illuminated LED as follows: • Charging – Logo cycles on and off with the appropriate color (red or green) • Full charge – constant green LED • Current battery status – LED flashes once when pod vinci q inserted • Low battery – LED flashes red 10 times • Short circuit – LED remains red for 2 seconds • No Pod fitted – LED flashes red 2 times if fire button pressed • Overtime protection (8s) – LED flashes red 8 times • Over heat protection – LED remains red for 5 seconds As we’ve already mentioned, the fire button will lock after 5 minutes of inactivity.

You can still vape using the auto draw method but the fire button won’t work. This is normal and a safe guard method of ensuring it doesn’t accidently fire when it’s in your pocket. To re-activate the fire button, draw on the pod or press the fire button 3 times and it will function as normal until 5 minutes have elapsed with no activity. Voopoo Vinci Q Performance As with most MTL vape pods, using e-liquid with a PG/VG ratio vinci q 50/50 is recommended because of the vinci q wicking ports and lower power.

With some pods, the throat hit when using freebase nicotine around 3mg or 6mg doesn’t provide a good enough hit to satisfy your craving. This 1.2 ohm pod doesn’t suffer from this problem. Irrespective if you’re using higher strength Nic salts or a lower level freebase nicotine, the pod performed really well in terms of flavor and throat hit with pretty decent vapor production.

Flavor came through really well and was very impressive for a pod. Switching a different flavored e-liquid through the pod only took a few draws before that flavor began to vinci q through. I was sceptical about the fixed airflow vinci q worried that no airflow adjustment would be its downfall but NO, the draw on the pod with the two small airflow pinholes gave a medium loose draw which I did find pleasurable.

If you want to restrict the airflow slightly you can place a finger/thumb over one of the pinholes which will tighten the draw. Auto draw worked every time although if you very gently draw on the pod it won’t always activate.

It does require a reasonable draw for it to fire. This is NOT a problem as you can always use the fire button if you want a very slight draw. Overall the performance from the coil/pod was really good and the more I vaped it, the more I liked it.

I could alternate my draw style, at times using it like a DTL and the flavor became more intense with pretty good dense vapor as well. Pretty impressive results from such a small pod. At the time of writing this review, I’ve cycled approximately 60ml of e-liquid through the pod and the coil is showing no signs of faltering.

Voopoo Vinci Q Battery Performance The Voopoo Vinci Q kit is powered by an internal 900mAh battery. Charging time is good, taking approximately 70 minutes to fully charge via the on board 1 amp Type-C USB charger/cable.

Vinci q average I was achieving around 10 hours vaping from a fully charged battery. You may be able to increase this time but I found I was enjoying the flavor so much that I was vaping on it pretty hard. I tried to note the length of time that the green light was showing before it turned red and how long the red light remained before the battery cut off.

I did this a couple of times and it was pretty repeatable with the following vape times: • Green to Red – Approx. 7 hours • Red to Discharge – Approx. 2.5 hours When the Vinci Q vinci q fully charged, while vaping, the fire button will illuminate green indicating the remaining charge is between 30%-100%.

Continuing vaping, the fire button will change color from green to red indicating the battery charge is less than 30%. Once the LED flashes red 10 times, you will no longer be able to vape and will have to re-charge the battery.

The Vinci Q doesn’t have pass through meaning you can’t vape while it’s being charged. The perfect excuse to buy two so vinci q can continue vaping! How Do I Fill The Voopoo Vinci Pod? The design of the pod, being a top fill, means you don’t have to remove it from the Vinci Q body to fill with e-liquid.

Saying this, I did find removing the pod easier to fill it and you vinci q least get to check there is no e-liquid seepage in the pod recess and can keep everything clean and in working order. Its black duckbill mouthpiece on the top of vinci q pod is removable. Simply grasp the bottom of the pod, squeeze the long flat sides of the mouthpiece together which releases its catch and pull away from the pod.

With the mouthpiece removed there is a thin black silicone rubber vinci q that seals the opening of the filling port. A small arrow on the cover denotes which end is to be lifted away. Pull this flap open to reveal the oval vinci q port. The other end of the rubber flat is secured to the pod so it won’t get misplaced. Fill the pod up with your e-liquid to approximately ¾ full and replace the black silicone rubber flap securely.

Make sure when you’re filling, you fill the pod up using the end oval hole and NOT the center circular hole. Refit the duckbill mouthpiece onto the pod making sure it securely snaps into position. Re-insert the pod into the Vinci Q body and push the pod down to securely snap into position. Quick Tip: Vinci q you are filling the pod for the first time, once filled, leave to stand for approx. 10-15 minutes before you start to vape. This will help saturate the wick fully in e-liquid and help prolong the life of the vinci q in the pod.

When and How Do I Change The Vinci Pod? Because the Vinci Q pod has a fixed 1.2 ohm coil and is NOT replaceable, when the coil starts to degrade after a couple of weeks use, the pod will need to be discarded and a new pod fitted.

An indication of the coil degrading will show by either a loss of flavor or a lack of vapor. Continuing beyond this loss of flavor/vapor will finally result in a severe nasty burnt taste.

At this stage, discard the pod and fit vinci q new one. Pull the pod away from the Vinci Q body. It’s quite a tight fit so will require a little pressure. Unfortunately if you still have e-liquid in the pod, this will have to be discarded as well. When fitting a new pod, follow the procedure for How Do I Fill The Pod. As you insert the pod into the Vinci Q body, the LED around and under the fire button will briefly illuminate to identify the pod has been fitted.

How Do I Charge The Voopoo Vinci Q? Using the supplied Type-C USB charging cable, plug the cable into the USB port on the side of the Vinci Q body.

Vinci q the other end into a suitable power source (typically 5V/1A). Whilst charging, the LED around the fire button will illuminate and slowly cycle on and off. Voopoo state this operation as “Breathing”.

When first placed on charge, the fire button LED will glow and cycle red in color. Once the charge reaches approx. 30% of its full capacity, the fire button LED will glow and cycle green in color.

During our test, for the LED to change from cycling red to vinci q green took 14 minutes. Once fully charged, the fire button LED will remain constantly illuminated in green indicating the charge cycle has completed. During out test, the cycling green LED turned static after a further 54 minutes. Charging time takes approximately 70 minutes to fully charge the battery using the supplied charging cable and an appropriate charging source.

While charging, the Vinci Q did remain cool to the touch. The Vinci Q pod kit doesn’t have a ‘pass-through” facility therefore you won’t be able to charge and vape at the same time. As always, NEVER leave your vape device unattended while on charge. Voopoo Vinci Q Pod Kit Price At the time of writing this review, the Vinci Q pod kit was only just being introduced into the market. I’ve seen a few overseas companies selling these and the price is really good. I would expect them to be widely available very soon.

If the Vinci Q kits are as I expect to be in the region of 15-20 pounds/dollars then for the price they really are worth it. Don’t buy 1… buy 2 or 3! Cons • No pass-through facility • Duckbill mouthpiece can be difficult to remove Voopoo Vinci Q Pod Kit Summary The Voopoo Vinci Q pod kit is well built, lightweight yet very tough. The construction and surface finish ensures it should last and won’t look worn even after continued use.

The look of the Vinci Q is very clean with a smooth finish and does feel very comfortable in the hand. What really stands out for me, apart from the performance of the pods, is how lightweight vinci q Vinci Q is. Flavor and vapor from such a small discreet vinci q kit was also really good. Top fill pod design, dual activated with a really good novel fire button lock, it’s perfect for throwing in your pocket or bag and taking out for an all-day vape. Because of its simplicity, the Vinci Q pod kit is aimed more as a beginner’s vape kit but I do believe because of its performance and ease of use experienced vapers will also appreciate owning this small kit.

I’ve been vaping since 2015 and own over 200 different mods/pods but I’m finding I like using this more and more. I feel Voopoo have produced a very simple pod kit that is well designed and built and has really good performance, not forgetting a very reasonable price tag. I would be more than happy only having the Vinci Q to vape on BUT I would buy a couple of them to vape while the other one is charging.

In fact, it’s probably the most beginner-focused product to ever come out of Voopoo’s catalog. Think of it as a stripped-down version of the original Vinci pod, with no airflow adjustment and a slightly larger battery. The Q takes replaceable 2 mL pods, houses vinci q 900 mAh battery, and is draw and button-activated.

It charges through Type-C, comes in six “macaroon” colors, vinci q is priced very competitively (you can get the vinci q for $19.99 vinci q, at the time of publication, get a Zovoo Dragbar for only an additional $1).

In a sea of pod vapes, does the Vinci Q have what it takes to be a part of the best pod vape conversation? Keep reading to find out. Price: $19.99 ( at Element Vape) Colors: Crystal blue, vibrant orange, ceramic white, seagull grey, moss green, charming pink. The Vinci Q is almost entirely made out of plastic, but at the same time, it feels vinci q well built. When I took it out of the box, I was impressed with how lightweight it felt.

At 40 grams with a full pod on, it’s only 2 grams heavier than the KOKO V2. That’s impressive since the Vinci may be compact, but it sure is larger than the KOKO.

At first, I didn’t appreciate the plastic button, but it kinda grew on me. And giving the device a close inspection, the ABS/PC construction is flawless, and the see-through-ish edges of vinci q device give it a unique look. Plus, the LED light looks awesome as it disperses under the top layer of plastic. The pod also has a high-quality vibe to it.

It is clear and the bottom is almost entirely visible, which is the best design for monitoring e-liquid levels. The 1.2-ohm pod that comes with the device is top fill and it adopts the filling design of the Caliburn series with a push-to-remove mouthpiece. There’s also a 0.8-ohm top fill pod and both resistance options come in side-fill editions—which are the pods that were used with the original Vinci pod and the Drag Nano. The top-fill pod works as advertised, with the only minor complaint being that the sealing plug feels a bit flimsy.

I never faced any issues with it, but it does look like it may come off easily. It's been more than a month since we published this vinci q, but I've had two reports of the plastic of Vinci Qs cracking at the top after being dropped (from my colleague Rob as well as one of our readers.) I've dropped my Q a couple of times and didn't have any issues, but note that you may have to be extra careful with it just in case.

I've added this to the list of cons. The Vinci Q may as well be the easiest Voopoo device to operate. It’s absolutely stripped of features and there are no button combinations or adjustments to talk about. Just take the mouthpiece off by pushing it on its flat side, remove the sealing plug, fill the pod with vinci q, and set the device aside for five minutes.

You may need to tilt the pod a bit when filling, especially if your juice is thicker than 50/50. Then push vinci q fire button five times to turn the device on.

You can vape by pushing the button or straight up inhaling on the mouthpiece. The Vinci Q takes replaceable pods, so just repeat the process with a new pod when you feel that your vape is not up to par—or just replace it proactively after a week of daily use. One thing is for sure: pod vapes have come vinci q long way!

After reviewing three Caliburn pods in a row, I did feel spoiled and didn’t expect to be impressed by a pod any time soon. But the Vinci Q is a real contender in the category, and in some ways, it comes on top of all the basic pod systems I’ve reviewed. First off, the (non-adjustable) draw on the Vinci Q is the perfect MTL draw for me.

It is maybe a hair tighter than the KOKO V2, and it is boosted by one of the best sensors I’ve ever tried. The Q produces warm and flavorful vapor with minimum effort, and it activates instantly. In fact, it is so warm that 25 mg salt felt overwhelming on it—and that’s with the 1.2-ohm pod. I don’t expect to be able to go over 20 mg on the 0.8-ohm pod.

I was actually vinci q bit disappointed to see that they don’t include a 0.8-ohm pod in the package, and they didn’t send one over for testing either. With only one device sent for a review, I only had the opportunity to test one pod, so I can’t actually tell you how it does with different kinds of juices. It performed great with 50/50 25 mg salt and I went through eight fills (16 mL) out of it before having to replace the pod. With clean regular nic juice, I’d expect to get at least vinci q couple more fills.

Also, no leaks, and almost no condensation at the contacts. I only had a tiny bit of flooding when refilling, which went away after a couple of puffs. Battery life is another area where the Vinci Q excels. It houses a 900 mAh battery, which is impressive for its size and weight. And it doesn’t seem to be overrated, as it can go through 4.5 mL of juice before having to recharge.

It does take 75 minutes to fully charge, but comparing it to the KOKO V2 (45 minutes to charge, 2.5 mL on a charge) and the Caliburn A2 (52 minutes, 3 mL,) the Vinci Q seems like a winner in the battery category. Note that it doesn’t support passthrough, so you’ll need to unplug it if you want to take a hit.

As for battery indication, things were kept at a minimum. The LED that surrounds the fire button will light up green if the device is above 30% and red if it is below. A third level would have been nice, but you still have a lot of hits after the red light appears, so no major complaints here. But I would have liked the light to be a bit more visible in broad daylight.

It’s practically impossible to check battery levels in the outdoors. Outside of that, I have no other complaints as far as battery goes.

The Q is a stellar performer, goes toe to toe against the best of them in flavor, has excellent battery life, and is stripped of all the features that beginner vapers may find unnecessary. It is a great first vape, and an excellent gift for a smoker—or someone who’s been using prefilled devices and disposables but wants to cut down on the costs. In fact, it’s a great vape, period! I’ve already ordered replacement pods for it, and with the number of pod vapes sitting on my desk, that says a lot.
