She was seen exhibiting varying degrees of rude behavior towards him, even when Lilly insisted it wasn't necessary. As her character continues to be explored, we see that Tara's hard exterior is only a facade, which she presumably puts on for reasons of self-preservation or insecurity. In later appearances, she demonstrates a more friendly, compassionate, and honest nature. She is shown to be playful at times, such as when she played a game of tag with Meghan, as well as when she expressed amusement at finding a yo-yo in a discarded bag with Glenn and Rosita.

Tara is shown to express severe guilt for her involvement in the attack on the Prison that ultimately caused its downfall, as well as the deaths of Hershel Greene and countless other residents; even though she had little to no influence on the actual fight, she still bears the brunt of responsibility by virtue of having been there at all.

This guilt eventually subsides after Tara is accepted into Rick Tara twd group and receives forgiveness from him, as well as Glenn Rhee and Maggie Greene. Throughout the fifth season, Tara shows numerous signs of developing emotional maturity and inner strength, often shown through her growing friendship with Eugene Porter. The strength and determination she exhibits later gives Eugene the courage to display those same traits, saving Tara's life after she herself is seriously wounded and rendered unconscious during a supply run for the Alexandria Safe-Zone.

By the eighth season, Tara has grown much more cold and vengeful, especially towards the Saviors, and she has a strong desire to kill them all, except for the workers and prisoners, to avenge her girlfriend, Denise Cloyd, and her friends, Glenn, Abraham Ford, and Olivia.

This shows that she is perfectly willing to eliminate human threats, just like most of the rest of her group. She was particularly hostile towards Dwight, who was responsible for Denise's death, wanting to kill him despite his decision to switch sides and help them and conspiring with Daryl, who likewise wanted all of the Saviors dead regardless of whether or nor they surrendered and likewise particularly despised Dwight, to do so. She was also the only one who participated in Daryl's plot to let walkers into the Sanctuary despite tara twd that innocent workers and prisoners would die if they did so, showing that like Daryl, tara twd has allowed her hatred to blind her to what is the morally correct thing to do.

However, after Tara twd lures his fellow Saviors away from their location, Tara seems to soften, and remembers how she had once been one of the Governor's people, acknowledging her own hypocrisy. When she thought she had been shot with a poisoned arrow by Dwight and would die soon, she accepted this and said she thought she deserved it for the way she had behaved before, stating she may have pushed Dwight into switching sides tara twd.

After realizing he had shot her with a clean arrow and she was not dying, she seemed to finally let go of her hatred and told Daryl she would no longer aid him in his desire to kill Dwight and all the other Saviors.

Following the 6-year time jump, and the deaths of Gregory and Jesus, as well as Maggie's departure, Tara has found herself as the leader of Hilltop.

As a leader, she seems to be stern and pragmatic, but still kind, understanding, honest, and willing to listen to others. When Alden and Luke went missing, she wasn't willing to put an entire group of her people at risk to find them, by going out to face an unknown threat, preferring to return to Hilltop to get more information before acting. Though she appears certain in her decisions, she openly tara twd to Yumiko Okumura that she doesn't know if she knows what she's doing, inviting her to talk to her if she ever disagrees with one of her decisions, and is also quick to tara twd Yumiko and her group for going against her orders to search for Luke, understanding their fear for the safety of their friend.

In her final moments, Tara proved her bravery and strength of character, as she fought to the tara twd against Whisperers, fighting tara twd protect her friends until the very end. Pre-Apocalypse Atlanta, Georgia Tara grew up in Atlanta with her father David, sister Lilly, tara twd niece Meghan. She enrolled in the Atlanta police academy with aspirations to become a police officer. On a weekend, Tara and her girlfriend Sam were on a camping trip where Sam confessed she wasn't a lesbian as Tara had believed.

Post-Apocalypse During the onset of the outbreak, Tara's family picked her up from the academy and holed up together inside of their apartment complex. For about a year, Tara continually cleared their area of walkers. However, she was unaware that she needed to destroy the brain in order to kill one. Season 4 " Live Bait" When the Governor arrives at their apartment, Tara reluctantly allows him inside. After he tells them his story about what had happened before at this camp and introduces himself as Brian, Tara explains that she was in training to become a police officer.

At Lilly's insistence, Tara allows him to stay in one of the empty apartments of the building. After her father David passes away due to his cancer, Tara cries at his bedside. When he turns and tara twd bites her, the Governor saves her life.

Later on, Tara thanks the Governor for saving her life and fist bumps him. Following this event, Tara and her family leave with the Governor, thinking he can possibly take them to a safer place and protect them. On the road, they are swarmed by a herd and in an attempt to escape, Tara runs away and twists her ankle, but is saved by Lilly. They trudge through the forest but are saved by another group of survivors.

" Dead Weight" Tara and her family are then granted shelter at Martinez's camp as long as they contribute. Later that day, Tara flirts with Alisha while Alisha is getting a cut treated by Lilly. They then would start a relationship over the following days. When the Governor takes leadership of the camp, Tara and Alisha help secure a fence around the campsite to protect it from walkers. Due to being distracted flirting with Alisha, a walker entered the camp and almost attacked Meghan. She is then left visibly shocked when the Governor manages to save Meghan.

" Too Far Gone" When the Governor reveals his plan to try and take the West Georgia Correctional Facility using Hershel and Michonne as exchange hostages, Tara is the first member of the militia to accept taking part in the attack later that day. When negotiations were taking place at the prison, Rick tries to reason directly with Tara after noticing that she was insecure about what they were doing. After the Governor cruelly beheads Hershel, Tara realizes that she is on the wrong side and throws her weapon to the ground, refusing to be part of the battle.

As the fighting continues, Tara tries to reason with Alisha, telling her that they shouldn't be doing this but Alisha tells her to stay behind her and run into the forest if tara twd get separated. After a bomb explodes near her, a petrified Tara leaves Alisha behind. " Inmates" Having survived the battle, Tara took refuge inside a fence to avoid being attacked by the walkers.

As Tara twd is leaving, he spots her in an almost catatonic state and convinces her to accompany him. As they reach the road, Tara mentions she regrets having trusted "Brian" and once he killed Hershel, she knew instantly that she was on the wrong side.

Glenn responds that while he is not on good terms with her, he needs her help to find his wife Maggie. When walkers try to attack them, Glenn fights off the majority but collapses with fatigue. Tara tara twd a walker that is about to bite him, repeatedly bashing its head in. She looks up to realize Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita have witnessed her heroic act. She then angrily and sarcastically asks them if they enjoyed the show. " Claimed" Having been picked up by Abraham's group, Tara rides along with an tara twd Glenn in the back of the army truck as she writes down coordinates on her hand with a marker so she knows where they're going.

When walkers appear on the road, she watches as Abraham attacks them with a crowbar and says he's the luckiest person in the world. Later that day, Glenn wakes up and Tara tells him not to move as she offers him some water.

He asks if while driving they passed a bus. She informs him she saw everyone dead and it's been three hours since they've passed the bus. Glenn says they need to go back, so the two of them bang on the window from the tara twd of the truck so it can stop. Abraham tells them that they can't stop because Eugene knows the cure, shocking them both. However, Tara tara twd Glenn as he leaves to keep searching for Maggie and explains that she wrote down every coordinate on her hand and she knows her way back.

When Abraham and Glenn start fighting, Tara and Rosita tell them to stop as Eugene notices some walkers. The four of them run back towards the truck to help Eugene fight off walkers. With the army truck lost to stray bullets, Tara and Glenn walk off before they are followed by the others. As the five venture off, Abraham calls Tara a good person for helping Glenn but he believes that saving the world is more important. She says she's not a good person, and tells him to not lie to her about the real reason he's helping Eugene.

" Us" Tara walks with the group along the train tracks on their way to Terminus. Eugene tries to strike up a conversation with her, tara twd by theorizing the dinosaurs could have been wiped out by the same virus that has wiped out civilization, before asking her what kind of gamer she was. While camping that night, Abraham questions Tara why is she helping Glenn and she confesses she is trying to make amends for doing something bad. The next day, Glenn comes upon another Terminus sign marked by Maggie, Bob and Sasha and sprints ahead as the rest of the group follow him.

Later that day, the group comes upon a tower and Abraham insists they stop to rest. When a walker appears above in the tower and almost falls on top of Eugene, Tara is pushed out of the way by a protective Abraham and injures her knee. Nonetheless, she is still adamant in her support of Glenn. When the group comes upon a railway bridge in the mountainside, Abraham reluctantly parts company with Tara and Glenn, saying the risk is too high to Eugene and they will instead go around, telling them they'll likely be camped at the other side should they survive and make it through.

Tara and Glenn enter the tunnel and find evidence of a fresh cave-in, as well as many trapped walkers. Glenn insists he needs to see the faces of the walkers to ensure none of them are Maggie and Tara helps.

When the two set a diversion with a flashlight to sneak around the overwhelming swarm of walkers, Tara slips and gets stuck in the debris. Glenn, refusing to leave her, is forced to empty his handgun clip into the surrounding walkers. Out of bullets, the pair are then saved by Abraham, Eugene, Rosita, Maggie, Sasha, and Bob, who have now converged and joined forces. That night, Tara is introduced to Maggie by Glenn, who tells his wife that he and Tara met on the road.

An appreciative Maggie gives Tara a hug of thanks. With the newly formed group deciding on their next move, Tara agrees to go with Abraham to D.C. after they reach Terminus. The following day, Tara, now walking with a cane, arrives at Terminus with the others and is met by Mary, who offers to get them settled and make them a plate of food. " A" Shortly after arriving at Terminus, Tara and her companions are stripped of their belongings and thrown in a train car to await an uncertain fate.

She later finds Eugene watching Abraham and Rosita having sex. She thanks him for saving her life earlier when Eugene reveals that he sabotaged the tara twd. He explains he doesn't think people would keep him around if he couldn't save the world, but Tara says they will because they're friends.

She promises to keep the sabotage a secret and then takes a swift look at Rosita before going to bed. That night over dinner, Natania invites Tara and her friend to reside at their settlement to ensure they never reveal their location to anyone, and reveals that the men were all killed in a skirmish with another group, after which the women decided to relocate their home and stay hidden.

Tara confesses that she comes from a community that killed a threatening group at an old satellite station. She suggests their groups band together. Natania agrees to send a guide with Tara to find Heath and meet with her community. The next day, Tara leaves the settlement with Kathy and Beatrice into the wood but soon realizes they are going to kill her. When a walker appears, she volunteers to kill it and seizes her opportunity to flee. As Beatrice catches up and holds her at gunpoint, Tara pleads that she has to get back to her friends, but Beatrice tells her it's too late, and assures her people are dead because the satellite station was only an outpost.

She explains that her group tried to fight the Saviors too but lost, and the Saviors killed every man and boy over ten as punishment. When Cyndie helps Tara escape into the woods, she makes her swear to keep their settlement a secret and Tara agrees. They leave the next morning when Ezekiel refuses to fight.

On their way back from the Kingdom, they encounter a blockade of cars on the highway set up by the Saviors. Tara helps to dismantle the explosives and Rosita takes some dynamite away from her, telling her she doesn't like the way it looks.

As a herd approaches the tara twd, Tara, Carl, and Rosita work to block the onramp again until they are surrounded. They are eventually joined by Rick and Michonne and as they head back to Tara twd, the leftover dynamite explodes behind them.

When they return, Aaron and Tobin inform them Gabriel disappeared with most of their food and weapons. Rick finds a note left from Gabriel and they head off to find him. Upon arriving at a junkyard, Tara and the group are held at gunpoint by a large group of strangers. " New Best Friends" Tara listens as Rick tries to make a deal with Jadis, the leader of the junkyard group. When she refuses, Tara and the group are attacked but gain the upper hand until Gabriel defuses the situation by taking Tamiel hostage.

She then watches through a tube as Rick is forced to fight a walker covered in metal armor and steel spikes. He later comes back to the group, injured but smiling, and tells them a deal has been made. Later that day, Tara suggests heading back to Alexandria to regroup but Rosita says they need to search for guns.

Tara reasons that Rick and Aaron are injured and the people back home need food. Rosita says she will go on her own but Tara says they are sticking together. Rosita asks what her problem is and Tara says they aren't looking for a fight but getting ready for one. Rosita says it's always a fight and tells her to grow up. When Rick and Michonne discuss where they should look for guns, Rick says to Tara she's been out further than any of them and she can tell them where not to look, and she laughs it off nervously.

" Say Yes" Tara arrives at Rosita's house to find her removing her stitches and says she was on her way to help her do that. After an awkward pause, Tara assures Rosita that it's going to work out.

They have the numbers, they just need the weapons. Rosita asks if she knows where they can find that many guns but Tara doesn't answer. Rosita says she can't just wait. Tara again assures her they will find the guns and she needs to save her anger for the Saviors. Later that day, Tara inspects the bracelet that Cyndie gave to her.

tara twd

She hands the bracelet to Judith as she debates the pros and cons of telling Rick about the guns at Oceanside. She's torn by her promise to keep its location a secret. When the group delivers the guns to the Scavengers, Tara looks defeated after Jadis says it is not enough and they need nearly twice as many. Upon returning to Alexandria, Tara tells Rick she needs to talk with him. " Something They Need" Tara reveals to Rick and the group that she encountered a group with guns while on her supply-run with Heath called Oceanside who had once fought the Saviors but lost, and are now in hiding.

Realizing she needs to break her promise in order to acquire the guns and people to win the war against the Saviors, Tara leads the group of Alexandrians to the distant community. At Oceanside, Tara sneaks into Natania's home and holds her at gunpoint.

Cyndie suddenly enters Natania's home and Tara calls her out. She is angry and hurt that Tara broke her promise, but she says she had no choice and explains that her group is taking their guns in order to fight the Saviors. She begs them to talk to Rick and join their resistance. Natania refuses and distracts Tara, giving Cyndie enough time to grab a hidden gun.

Tara turns her gun towards Cyndie, and is tackled by Natania. Tara twd Cyndie holds her at gunpoint, Tara reveals that her own gun was never loaded. Natania asks for Cyndie's gun and she reluctantly complies. As the other Oceansiders are taken captive outside by Rick and his group, Natania appears holding Tara at gunpoint.

Cyndie tells her people that Rick's group wants to fight the Saviors. When Michonne warns Rick that walkers are approaching, Cyndie knocks Tara twd out, saving Tara's life again. The Alexandrians and the Oceansiders organize a combined defense that allows them to efficiently kill the walkers.

When the group leaves with the guns later, Cyndie informs Tara that Natania has forbidden her community to fight the Saviors.

She thanks Tara for what her group is doing. When the group returns to Alexandria late at night, Rosita opens the gate for them. She tells them they have a visitor. Rosita leads Rick's group to the Alexandria prison cell where Dwight sits behind bars. Rosita says that Dwight wants to help. " The First Day of tara twd Rest of Your Life" Tara furiously reprimands Dwight for murdering Denise.

He replies that she was not his intended target. In response, Daryl slams Dwight against a wall and holds him at knifepoint. Tara tells Daryl to kill him, but Dwight tells Daryl that he served Negan for Sherry's sake and Sherry had saved Daryl, but she is gone now. Daryl reluctantly releases Dwight, believing his story. When Dwight leaves to head back to the Sanctuary, Tara and Daryl exchange glances.

The next day, Tara and the Alexandrians are left shocked as Eugene arrives with the Saviors and tells the group to surrender. When a reanimated Sasha attacks Negan and Carl uses the distraction to start shooting at the Scavengers and the Saviors, Tara joins the fight and helps Rosita after she is shot.

After the Saviors and the Scavengers escape, Tara sits by Rosita's side as she recovers in the infirmary. Season 8 " Mercy" As part of the Militia's plan to trap the Saviors in the Sanctuary, Tara and Carol stand watch on a bridge as they wait while the herd of walkers moves along the road below.

When Daryl and Morgan meet up with tara twd, Tara counts down to the herd's arrival and is upset as they arrive some minutes late. They vacate the road in haste and watch as the SUV they parked on the exit ramp explodes to attract the herd towards the mapped road.

While they await on a pedestrian overpass to track the bombs they planted for the herd to follow, the group spots a walker nearing the tripwire. Morgan stops the walker from tripping the explosive. On the road, a Savior caravan trips the wire and sets off an explosion. The herd approaches, drawn by the explosion. The group then parts away, with Tara leaving with Morgan. She then joins a group that prepares to attack the satellite station outpost.

" The Damned" Tara, Jesus, Morgan, and Diane prepare for a raid on the Satellite station. She claims they did it before and can do it again, but Jesus insists if a gun fires they won't get in. As the militia ventures inside, they use silenced pistols to put down Saviors. While they sweep the station, Tara and Jesus discover a Savior named Dean cowering in a closet, having seemingly peed himself in tara twd. He claims to be a worker from the Sanctuary forced from his family. Jesus decides to show mercy and tara twd him live, but Tara is furious, desiring to kill all the Saviors out of revenge for Denise.

When they get distracted by the gunfire, Dean takes Jesus hostage, revealing his deception. Before he can tara twd Tara, Jesus swiftly disarms him with his skills in martial arts. Regardless, he refuses to kill Dean, instead choosing to tie him up, much tara twd Tara's disgust, who questions Jesus on Abraham, Glenn, and Denise. When they hear over the radio as the Saviors plan to retreat, Jesus leads the rest of the fighters to the back exit of the compound, intercepting around a dozen fleeing Saviors, including Alden.

Heavily outnumbered and outgunned, they surrender without a fight, but Tara angrily declares that even if Maggie listens to Jesus' reasoning, Rick will listen to hers. " Monsters" While traveling towards Hilltop, Tara watches over the captured Saviors while riding on the back of a tara twd truck with Eduardo.

He tells Tara that Maggie will know what to do with them. Tara acknowledges him, believing she will kill them for what they've done.

As the militia gets ambushed by walkers, she helps defend their prisoners, and watches as Morgan chases after Jared and his chain gang into the woods. Tara and Dianne arrive after Morgan and Jesus have their fight about the Savior's fate. Before Morgan leaves, she tells him that he is right about killing the Saviors.

When the group arrives at Hilltop, Gregory immediately insists that the Saviors can't stay, but Maggie shuts him up and sends him away while she talks to Jesus.

Tara says she agrees with Gregory that they shouldn't be allowed to stay, and Maggie notes that with families and children at the Hilltop, the arrangement would be dangerous. Jesus insists they can't kill those who surrendered, and makes plans to keep them under armed guard in two empty trailers. " The King, the Widow, and Rick" Upon returning to Alexandria, Tara tells Daryl that she understands why he tara twd Dwight and feels he made the right choice as Dwight is the only reason they've gotten so far.

However, she is determined to kill Dwight when everything is over. Daryl suggests that they will kill him together and that they won't have to tara twd for the war to be over. While on their way to the Sanctuary, they crash into Zia's vehicle killing her. They then encounter Michonne and Rosita, who reveal they are both heading to the Sanctuary as well and the group join forces.

" Time for After" As the group discusses their plan, with Morgan having joined them, Rosita shows doubts about the plan, concerned about the workers inside the building and the plan going awry.

Tara confronts her about her apparent change in tara twd, and recounts how she had waited before telling Rick about Oceanside and their weapon cache, showing regret at the fact that she had not informed him earlier, which could have helped better their situation.

When Rosita tara twd, Tara and Daryl continue their plan and Michonne insists on seeing it through. They drive the truck tara twd the edge of the Sanctuary's perimeter as Morgan keeps watch.

Tara twd Saviors perched at the window are fired upon by Tara, Morgan and the lookouts as Daryl crashes the truck tara twd the Sanctuary, breaching the walls and allowing the herd to pour in. Tara and Daryl retreat as the walkers begin making their way inside.

" How It's Gotta Be" Having returned to Alexandria, Tara helps Rosita tara twd some boxes. As she suggests that they take the air horn to direct the herd, Rosita with a smile on her face puts the heavy boxes on her arms. That night, Tara is part of the convoy that escapes Alexandria while the residents hide in the sewers. After killing all the saviors in a trap with the help of Dwight, they return to Alexandria and hide in the sewers with the rest of the residents where they would discover shortly after that Carl had been bitten by a walker and was suffering from the infection.

" Honor" Tara remains in the sewers with the tara twd Alexandrians as the Saviors' grenades continue to blow apart Alexandria above them. She listens as Dwight explains that the Saviors will soon run out of ammo and insists they stay put until the siege is over.

After the explosions subside and the remaining Saviors leave, Tara says goodbye to Carl and she and the others prepare to head to the Hilltop for refuge. " Dead or Alive Or" Tara and the other Alexandrians evacuate through the woods towards the Hilltop. When the group comes across a walker in the forest, Tara moves in to deal with it, but allows it to cross over to Dwight, claiming that it escaped her grasp, although he dispatches it before the group heads forward.

While the Alexandrians rest in the forest, Daryl and Rosita retrace their steps to cover their tracks as a vengeful Tara questions why Dwight is still alive. Daryl and Rosita agree that Dwight is still a valuable asset, with Rosita deciding to wait on dealing with him until they reach the Hilltop.

Tara, Daryl, and Rosita later look over tara twd map at the different routes the Saviors tara twd travel from the Sanctuary to the Hilltop, finding that most of their paths can be potentially dangerous.

Dwight, however, points out that an alternate path, through a swamp is seldom used, due to the risks it poses against the Saviors. When Daryl agrees on going through the swamps, Tara tries voicing her opposition to the plan, and opts to stay behind to watch the group as Daryl gathers volunteers to assist with clearing out the swamp from walkers. As the rest of the Alexandrians wait at the bank, Tara spots a small group of walkers in the trees.

She asks for a volunteer to help her clear them, before tossing a knife in Dwight's direction. When they are away from the main group, Dwight expresses his remorse for killing Denise, accepting that he may not be forgiven for his deed. After putting down the last walker, he turns to find Tara holding him at gunpoint. She is fixated on avenging Denise, and makes several attempts to shoot Dwight, chasing him through the forest until they stop at a clearing.

When a Savior patrol approaches, they are forced to hide in the bushes where Tara continues to hold Dwight at gunpoint. She then turns her attention towards the patrol, who are inching closer to their position. In an effort to divert their attention away, Dwight makes his presence known, explaining that he survived the ambush near Alexandria and leads them away from the swamp.

Tara is surprised by tara twd and finds Rosita, having followed the pair. She asks why she didn't attempt to stop her, with Rosita explaining that she would tara twd also pursued him to no end. Upon returning to the swamp, Daryl furiously berates Tara for allowing Dwight to leave and risking him giving away their group to the Saviors. Having seen Dwight's efforts to sway the Saviors away from their location, Tara is convinced that Dwight has changed for the better.

Daryl remains unconvinced, but forgoes continuing the conversation any longer, leading the Alexandrians through the now-clear waters. Tara and tara twd Alexandrians eventually arrive at the Hilltop gates, bearing the news of the town's downfall and the loss of Carl.

" Do Not Send Us Astray" When the Saviors show up at the gates of Hilltop to attack, Tara and the militia members prepare themselves to defend the community. During the battle, Simon spots Tara and orders Dwight to hunt her down. Daryl sees Simon and Dwight sneaking up on Tara and shouts a warning, but is too late as Dwight shoots Tara in the tara twd with an arrow. She is removed from battle as the militia manages to drive the Saviors out.

The next day, as Hilltop cleans up in the aftermath of battle, Tara and Daryl discuss Dwight shooting her. She tells Daryl that she was with the Governor when they first met. Daryl references his brother and says he would be with the Saviors if he were still around. Tara has been vouching for Dwight since he saved their lives, "I saw him try and help us win," she tells Daryl, but he refuses to accept her word and leaves. That night when all the wounded in battle mysteriously turn into walkers and chaos unfolds inside the mansion, Tara sits on a bed surrounded by Enid, Rosita, and others.

When Rick, Daryl, and others enter the room, Tara questions how this happened. Daryl tells her that the Saviors did something to their weapons and that everyone they cut up, got shot, they all turned. "Karma's a bitch", Tara says as she accepts her fate. " Still Gotta Mean Something" The next day after the attack, Tara meets with Daryl and she tells him she isn't sick and that Dwight shot her with a clean arrow. She reasons that Dwight shot her to save her life and probably couldn't break away to warn them about the coming attack though Daryl refuses to believe it.

They disagree and Tara lets go of her vendetta against Dwight. " Wrath" When the Saviors approach Hilltop, Tara helps the residents evacuate but stays behind to fight. Alden and the other prisoners insist on helping her.

Tara and the prisoners prepare to attack. To their surprise Cyndie and the Oceansiders ambush the Saviors with Molotov cocktails, preventing a battle. Tara smiles on as they finally join the battle. After the war with the Saviors end, Tara and Rosita deliver supplies to the Sanctuary, where they greet Tanya and Frankie while Saviors are rebuilding their compound. Season 9 " A New Beginning" Over the next year and a half that passed since the end of the war, the communities stablished safe routes to travel between the communities.

One morning Tara is scouting one of the roads when Eugene radios her, informing her that a group will head to Washington D.C. to search for farming materials for the Sanctuary While most of the group heads inside the Smithsonian to scavenge, Tara stays outside as a tara twd along with Aaron, Jesus, and Alden. Tara twd group then leaves D.C. and prepare to head back to their own communities. On the road, Tara and the others are informed by Daryl and Rosita that the main bridge is out due to a storm.

Rick tells Tara, Gabriel, Aaron and Anne to head back to Alexandria and the rest will go to an alternate route and spend the night at the Sanctuary. " The Bridge" Having moved from Alexandria to the work camp along with several other residents, Tara is one of the lookouts posted in the crane in charge of watching over the perimeter of the construction site.

One morning, she walks around with Anne and salutes Rick when she passes by his side. Later that day, Tara radios Rick to update him on the walker distraction plan, before radioing Jerry, so he could turn on a siren.

" Evolution" When Michonne and Siddiq arrive at Hilltop with a group of newcomers, Tara coldly greets Michonne and updates her on Eugene, Aaron, Daryl, and Rosita's situations.

Tara affirms she understands. Shortly after, Tara, Daryl and Michonne interrogate the captured girl. She claims to not have a name and that her group were good people just trying to survive. Michonne asks if her people know about Hilltop but the girl begs to be left alone. Outside, Michonne says she's heading back to Alexandria and Tara tells her she's going to allow the new group to stay because it's what Jesus would have done.

She then assists the funeral and puts the final nail in his coffin. " Omega" Tara leads Magna and her group in the search for Alden and Luke in the woods. They find a group of walkers feasting on their horses and kill them, while checking they aren't Whisperers. Connie notices that the horses were cut open and skinned with knives.

Tara realizes that Lydia lied about it just being her mother out there and decides they should go back to Hilltop until they find out what this is.

The next day, Tara watches from a guard post as Magna and Yumiko return to Hilltop. Yumiko apologizes to Tara for leaving and Tara tells her to talk to her next time. Suddenly, Yumiko spots a small group of Whisperers approaching Hilltop as guards grab Kelly to get her inside, while Connie hides in the cornfield. Upon arriving, Tara greets Carol and Ezekiel, and updates them on the recent events regarding the Whisperers. " The Calm Before" Tara watches from the crowd as Ezekiel declares they’ve finally accomplished Rick, Carl, and Jesus' dreams of reuniting the communities. “Let the fair of a new beginning begin!” Ezekiel says as everyone celebrates and applauds. She then sees as Daryl, Michonne, and the convoy arrive. Tara is glad to see the group together again, but spots Lydia among them.

“The plan was to bring Henry…just Henry” she says angrily to Daryl. When the communities leaders reunite inside the theather, Tara listens as Michonne says she's finally ready for Alexandria to help out. “We’re here now,” tara twd says. Gabriel announces Alexandria is willing to grant asylum to Lydia, but Tara warns if her mother retaliates it'll be against Tara twd. Michonne reminds her that none of them were trusted when they were first introduced to Rick's group, and Tara relents.

They all agree to send some of their own to Hilltop to guard against any potential attacks tara twd the Whisperers and Michonne decides to re-establish the charter, establishing that an attack against Hilltop counts as an attack against all of them.

Ezekiel then retrieves the original charter as Tara and Michonne finally make up. They all sign the charter, and Michonne tells Gabriel he should sign for Alexandria as the head of the council. Later that day, Tara walks with a group who is going to Hilltop and leave some soldiers in case of a possible attack. She decides to stay instead and leave later with another escort and then fist bumps her companions as they leave for the woods.

While talking with Gabriel and Rachel about looking for areas for the residents to train in case of a fight, Gabriel tells her he thinks she's a good leader and she tara twd it. Tara smiles and then goes to gear up. During the fight, Tara manages to take down a Whisperer. In the middle of the chaos, Alpha arrives and the group is subdued. She then decapitates everyone as Siddiq is forced to watch, only leaving him alive as a witness. Tara's decapitated head is later put by Alpha on one of the several pikes used for the Whisperers' border. The next day, Daryl, Michonne, Carol, Siddiq, and Yumiko find the border and watch in horror at the victims, a reanimated Tara being among them.

They then put down their zombified heads to properly rest. When the group returns to the Kingdom, Siddiq delivers the tragic news and narrates how Tara and the others fought together as a family in their last moments. He finishes the story by encouraging everyone to remember the fallen as brave heroes and to honor them. Death Killed By • Alpha (Alive, Off-Screen) In order to mark a border between the land belonging to the Whisperers and the communities, Alpha disguises herself and infiltrates the fair to kidnap several residents.

Afterward, she decapitates them and then places their heads on wooden pikes to mark the border, with Tara being among them.

• Daryl Dixon, Carol Peletier, Michonne, or Yumiko Okumura (Zombified, Off-Screen) After finding the border, her zombified head is put down by either Daryl, Carol, Michonne, or Yumiko. Killed Victims This list shows the victims Tara has killed: • Older Savior (Caused) • Zia (Caused) • 15 unnamed Saviors (5 Direct, 10 alongside Alexandrians) • At least 2 unnamed Whisperers (1 Direct, 1 Caused) • Numerous counts of zombies Relationships " Tara's been up there a bunch of times blasting them bastards to pieces.

She says that they just keep getting back up. I told her no more." —David to Phillip about Tara [src] Tara loved her father and fiercely protected him during the days of the apocalypse. Tara constantly worries for her father's worsening condition, and takes care of him. When David died, Tara held his hand and cried. When Philip kills a reanimated David, she tries to stop him from doing so. Later, Tara tells Phillip that she understands what he did and thinks her father would be glad that someone stopped him before he could bite her.

Tara was saddened of her father's death, but eventually moved on. Lilly Chambler " All Tara twd saw was my sister in that field. She wasn't supposed to be there. She had a gun, but they just.swarmed her." —Tara to Tara twd about her sister [src] Lilly is Tara's tara twd and they are shown to clash due to their differing personalities.

Lilly often appears to scold Tara on her use of swear words in front of Meghan and her attitude towards "Brian". Despite this, Lilly and Tara had a sisterly relationship and clearly loved each other.

It is clear that Tara trusts her sister with knowledge of her sexual orientation and other details of her private life. After Tara sprained her leg Lilly offered to look after her. Tara hid in a fenced off part of the prison during the attack on it, from there she witnessed her sister get swarmed by zombies.

Tara is clearly saddened at the loss of her sister and shuts down after watching her die, this death stays with her for a long time. Meghan Chambler " Meghan, don't say that, okay?" —Tara to Meghan [src] Tara loved her niece, Meghan, and fiercely protects her during the days of the apocalypse.

She enjoys playing and spending quality with Meghan. When Tara swears during lunchtime, she tells Meghan to not swear like her. It is revealed in "Us" that she knows of Meghan's death. The Governor " Fist bump." —Tara to Phillip [src] Upon first meeting Philip he introduces himself as Brian. Tara is shown not to trust him and openly asserts tara twd dominance by threatening him and showing off her weapons, but after he kills her re-animated father, she tells him she understands what he did and thinks her father would be glad someone stopped tara twd before he could bite her and she grows more accepting of "Brian" and decides to trust him.

However, during the prison assault when Philip decapitates Hershel, Tara seems to grow afraid and disgusted by him. Tara later expresses deep regret for ever trusting him.

It is later shown that Tara was told of Phillip's previous identity as "The Governor". In " Swear", when Cyndie states that nobody is evil and that they just decide to forget who they are, Tara twd corrects her by saying that some people are evil and that Tara herself has seen it (she was most likely referring to Philip given that she had witnessed him decapitate the good-natured Hershel Greene in cold-blood and for no good reason whatsoever).

Alisha " We have to stay here, it's too late, you understand me? You stay behind me, and if we get separated, you just run somewhere safe and hide, you hear me?

tara twd

You go someplace safe and hide, and I will find you when this is all over. I will find you. " —Alisha to Tara [src] While Lilly Chambler heals some wounds on Alisha's hands, Tara comments on her rifle, saying its not good in the field, and that she is more of a "Smith and Wesson gal" herself. Alisha asks if she is always so full of shit, in which Tara replies yes. Later they are seen sleeping together and hanging out together, implying they have started a relationship.

Tara's opinion of fighting the prison quickly changes after the Governor kills Hershel; Alisha's doesn't. Though Tara pleads with her, that they shouldn't have to fight, Alisha talks her out of it.

Instead, she reminds her of their plan to meet in the forest after the chaos dies down. Tara revealed in " Us" that she knows that Alisha is dead. Martinez " Wait, your father was a Catholic priest?

So the father became a daddy?" —Tara chatting with Martinez [src] Initially, Martinez was surprised to see Tara and her family with "Brian," but he agreed to let them join the camp. Tara and Martinez formed a friendly, mutually respectful relationship during their time at the camp. As the group bonded over drinks, she praised him and his leadership.

Tara was shocked when she learned of Martinez' death. Mitch Dolgen " You. Pick up your weapon! Fight, now!" —Mitch telling Tara to fight [src] Tara doesn't say much about Mitch, though it can be assumed she was grateful to him and his fellow survivors for saving her family.

However, when Tara expresses her dismay of Pete taking over the camp, Mitch silences her and starts a fight with her, but Lilly steps in. This was most likely the start of why Tara didn't like the new camp. During the assault on the prison, Mitch tara twd angry at Tara for doing nothing, and orders her to fight.

Pete Dolgen " You can't just take over!" —Tara to Pete [src] Tara doesn't say much about Pete, though it can be assumed she was grateful to him and his fellow survivors for saving her family. When Pete announces that he will take over as the leader of the camp, Tara expresses dismay over him taking leadership of the camp, and says that he can't take over. This results in Mitch silencing her and starting a fight with Tara, but Lilly managed to step in.

Before returning to her business, Tara glares angrily at Pete until Mitch shouts for her to move in her face. Rick Grimes " Tara, what the hell?! You almost died once for these people already!" —Rick scolding Tara for making the risky decision to shoot walkers while hanging from Alexandria's walls to save Spencer.

[src] Rick first interacted with Tara during the prison attack in " Too Far Gone", asking her if she was okay with attacking and taking over the prison. After the rescue from Terminus, Rick interacted with Tara again as he could tell that Tara was worried while she watched Glenn and Maggie hugging.

Rick forgives her for her involvement in the prison attack, saying that he could tell she didn't want to be there and it's why he tried to reach out to her while he was negotiating with The Governor. The two seem to be on good terms as he accepts her as a member of the group and fist bumps her back when she reaches out to him.

In " Heads Up" Rick and Tara's relationship seems to be on good terms. Rick scolds Tara for attepmting to save Spencer from the walkers, which Tara replies by flipping him off.

Their relationship seems repaired by the end of the episode, as Rick apologizes to her, which she accepts. Glenn Rhee " Rule number one of scavenging. There’s nothing left in this world that isn't hidden." —Glenn to Tara and Maggie [src] Glenn and Tara became great friends in the time that they knew each other despite their opposing relations to different factions. In " Tara twd, Glenn finds Tara closed off in a fenced off area of the prison courtyard. He goes back for her and convinces her to help him, even though he knows she was part of the destruction of the prison.

Glenn and Tara discuss what happened and she realized they shouldn't have trusted "Brian" when he decapitated an old man and she is the one who has to tell Glenn that Hershel (Glenn's Father-in-Law) was killed. They discuss Maggie who Glenn wants her to help him find Maggie, but Tara can't understand why.

Glenn tells her he doesn't want her help, but in his weakened state he needs it, they are interrupted by a walker attack and Glenn collapses of fatigue. Tara is shown to be apologetic for her role in the prison assault and helps save his life. Their relationship improves significantly in " Claimed"; Glenn seems to genuinely trust Tara by the end of the episode, and Tara even assisted him in getting Abraham to stop the truck so he could go back and look for Maggie.

Tara is asked to stay by the leader of the community, Natania, but she convinces them to let her go, as she says she needs to get back to her girlfriend (unaware that Denise was murdered by the Saviors' leader, Negan).

Later, Tara realizes she is being led out to be killed, so she escapes with tara twd help of Cyndie, who asks her to swear not to tell anybody else about the community. Tara returns home only to find out about the deaths. Rosita asks if there is a place, no matter how dangerous, to find guns, to fight against Negan and the Saviors. Tara lies, saying she did not see anything on her supply run, thus keeping her promise to Cyndie.

In the mid-season finale, " Hearts Still Beating", Tara arrives outside Rick's house to give Olivia ( Ann Mahoney) Denise's lemonade at Negan's request.

Tara comforts Olivia for having to face Negan. Later, Tara, Rosita, Carl, and other Alexandrians watch the exchange between Negan and Spencer Monroe over a game of pool as Spencer tries to convince Negan to kill Rick and put him in charge. Tara watches in horror with everyone else as Negan brutally murders Spencer. Soon after, Rosita pulls out her gun and tries to shoot Negan, only to miss and hit Lucille, his beloved baseball bat. Enraged, Negan threatens Rosita, which Tara is visually distressed about.

Arat, one of Negan's soldiers, shoots Olivia in the face after Rosita lies about who made the bullet she shot Lucille with, resulting in Negan ordering Arat to kill someone of her choice. Tara lies and says she made the bullet, before Eugene admits he did it and is taken away.

In the episode " New Best Friends", Tara is part of the group who meets the Scavengers while Rick negotiates a deal with them to fight the Saviors. In the episode " Say Yes", Tara is shown to be conflicted as she knows that Oceanside has the numbers and weapons to make a difference in the fight, but does not want to break her promise to Cyndie. She also knows that if Rick and the others go to Oceanside, it will most likely lead to a fight.

She ultimately comes to Rick at the end of the episode and states she there is something she needs to tell him. In the episode " Something They Need", Tara tells Rick and the others about Oceanside and their considerable firepower, so they form a plan to ambush the community and take the weapons. Tara infiltrates the community and attempts to convince Natania and Cyndie to join their fight.

When they refuse, Tara is forced to go along with Rick's plan to take the community hostage. Natania manages to disarm Tara and holds her at gunpoint, demanding they all tara twd.

Rick refuses and states they are taking the guns one way or another. The tara twd are halted when a herd of walkers converges on them, forcing the groups to work together.

When Oceanside still refuses to aid them, the group leaves with their weapons (although Tara promises to return them once the fighting is done). After thanking Cydnie once more for her help, Rick approaches Tara and reminds her tara twd she does not have to feel guilty. Tara responds that she knows that and does not anymore. Tara returns to Alexandria with Rick and the others, to find Rosita waiting for them. She explains that Dwight is in their cell. In the season finale, " The First Day of the Rest of Your Life", Tara encourages Daryl to kill Dwight as revenge for Denise's death, but Daryl resists.

Later, Tara is shown to be disappointed in Rick and Daryl's tara twd to trust Dwight. At the battle with Negan the following day, when Rosita is shot, Tara helps her to safety. Tara is later seen at Rosita's bedside while she heals from her injuries. Season 8 [ edit ] See also: The Walking Dead (season 8) In the season premiere episode, " Mercy", Tara is seen with Daryl, Morgan and Carol organizing a plan to attack the sanctuary and then with Jesus and Dianne they start attacking several outposts of the saviors.

In the episode " The King, the Widow, and Rick", Tara expresses to Daryl her desire to kill Dwight, as revenge for him killing her girlfriend.

In the mid-season finale " How It's Gotta Be", Tara and others find Dwight on a road, after a lone Savior gets away amid gunfire. Tara decides to spare him, however, and allows him to go back to Alexandria with her group. [1] Season 9 [ edit ] See also: The Walking Dead (season 9) In " A New Beginning", Tara is scouting one of the roads when Eugene radios her, informing her that a group will head to Washington D.C. to search for farming materials for the Sanctuary. On the road, Tara and the others learn from Daryl and Rosita that the main bridge is out due to a storm.

Rick tells Tara, Gabriel, Aaron and Anne to head back to Alexandria and the rest will go to an alternate route and spend the night at the Sanctuary.

In " The Bridge", when the communities came together to repair the bridge that had fallen, Tara settled in the camp tara twd the workers built in the forest and was in charge of monitoring the surroundings to prevent the dead from approaching the area. She got on a crane to have a better view and from there coordinated with the other watchers the strategies to distract the creatures.

When one of the alarms fails to go off, it quickly alerts Rick to the horde heading towards them and prevents a surprise attack. Sometime within the six-year time jump after the events that lead to Rick's apparent death and Maggie's leaving with Georgie, Tara moves to the Hilltop.

After a falling out with Michonne, Tara takes the charter Michonne had written up and heads off to the Hilltop. Once there, Tara becomes Jesus' second-in-command. After his death at the hands of rival group the Whisperers, Tara becomes the leader, with Enid and Alden acting as her right hands.

Tara interrogates Lydia alongside Daryl and Michonne when they bring her to Hilltop. In the episode " The Calm Before", while at the Kingdom's fair, Tara, alongside Gabriel, Ezekiel, Carol, and Rachel, signs the charter to create the Coalition. Soon afterward, however, Tara is kidnapped by the Whisperers. She, alongside Enid, Henry, Siddiq, Tammy, Frankie, Addy, and Rodney are taken to a barn guarded by the Whisperers.

After Ozzy, Alec, and D.J. find them, the group is able to fight and kill several Whisperers before being overtaken and decapitated in front of Siddiq. Tara's severed, undead head is found by Daryl, Carol, Michonne, Yumiko, and Siddiq on a pike marking the new border.

Back at the fair, Siddiq recounts Tara's last moments as heroic. Development and reception [ edit ] Alanna Masterson portrays Chambler Masterson was promoted to the main cast for the renewed fifth season.

[2] As of the second episode of the tara twd season, her name appears in the opening credits. For the episode " Crossed" in the fifth season, Zack Handlen, writing for The A.V. Club commented positively on the character, saying, "Tara is pretty great." [3] For the episode " Swear", the character of Tara was mostly well received.

Matt Fowler commented that, "Tara still needs a bit of work tara twd a character tara twd, but at least her conviction that all the murders her crew committed were justified more or less fits with her as someone who was part of the Governor's assault on Rick's prison".

He was also skeptical about her decision to lie about the community. [4] Zack Handlen, writing for The AV Club was more complimentary on the ending scene, calling it "a rare example of a character actually making a difficult but responsible moral choice!".

He praised Tara in the hour, saying, "As maybe the closest thing to self-aware comic relief the show has left, Tara remains likable enough" and praised the "moment of selflessness and faith" in not speaking of Oceanside which "generates one of the few moments of legitimate tension tara twd the whole hour." Despite this, he was critical of her decision to lie to members of Oceanside saying, "I like Tara, but it's harder to root for her when she tells such hilariously stupid lies.

Her decision to talk about Rick and company murdering a bunch of Negan's men also seems like a bad call. (“You should totally trust my group! We're good at killing!”)" [5] Masterson's performance received a mixed tara twd from critics. Jacob Stolworthy for The Independent was complimentary of Masterson's portrayal of Tara saying, "Granted, if fans were told they'd be getting an episode dedicated to Tara upon her introduction in season four, eyebrows would have been raised.

But it's through this character – played with a refreshing charm by Masterson (whose pregnancy is to account for her lack of presence) – that we meet yet another new community". [6] Conversely, Shane Ryan for Paste Magazine was extremely critical of Masterson's performance. He went further to say, "I went from thinking this was an episode about a couple of badass tropical killers to realizing the mysterious body washed up on shore belonged to Tara…that was the worst kind of gut punch." In contrast to Stolworthy, Ryan disliked the humor in the episode saying, tara twd single “funny” bit of dialogue Tara tara twd under stress was painfully unfunny.

Hire a comedy writer, Walking Dead. Your shit needs a punch-up." [7] Ron Hogan for Den of Geek was complimentary of Tara's humor, saying, "Alanna Masterson has some good comedic sensibilities [.] However, I just don't feel like Tara's a strong enough character to carry an entire episode, and neither she nor Heath have been developed enough to disappear for two months' worth of episodes stretched across two seasons." [8] Conversely, Jeff Stone for IndieWire liked the decision to focus on Tara for an episode tara twd, "Tara has always been a sentimental favorite of mine, with tara twd humorous streak and unwillingness to be a full-blown Ricketeer stormtrooper.

It's nice to have her back." [9] Some critics tara twd the characterization of the core group of survivors, including Tara, was off in " Something They Need". Ron Hagan for Den of Geek! said, "Rick and Tara twd finally discuss the presence of the Seaside Motel group, and that means tara twd ready to go wage a full-fledged assault on a group of women and children, blowing up dynamite outside their walls, drawing the attention of zombies in the area, and then taking all their guns away to fight his own battle.

And yes, that's the hero of the story." He was relieved that the cliffhanger involving Sasha in the previous week was not stretched tara twd to the finale. [10] Zack Handlen for The A.V. Club had a similar perspective on raiding Oceanside. He said, "The fact that Tara not only signed off on this plan, but also seems to be one hundred percent behind it, is at odds with everything we know about her. However much she's supposed to believe in Rick now (and clearly, she's supposed to believe in him a lot), for her to willingly go in on such an openly aggressive scheme is bizarre.

This isn't “we're going to talk, and tara twd what happens next.” [11] Her last appearance as a regular character on the show was in the season 9 episode " The Calm Before". [12] Noel Murray of Rolling Stone ranked Tara Chambler 15th in a list of 30 best Walking Dead characters, saying, "from the start, Alanna Masterson always emphasized the character's sense of humor tara twd her compassion for others, as evidenced by her passionate romantic relationships with women like Alisha and Denise.

She's become one of the easiest heroes to root for; her self-deprecation and sensitivity make her highly relatable." [13] References [ edit ] • ^ Otterson, Joe (December 10, 2017). I mean. isn't it better if they don't know how we feel about them?" —Tara to Sherry about the other communities. [src] Tara is a character and a former antagonist first encountered in Issue 104 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead.

She is one of the original members of the Saviors. Unlike most of the female Saviors who became workers or Negan's wives, Tara decided to join his army. During the Whisperer War, she is convinced to join Sherry's rebellion against the other survivors. She is highly aggressive and responds to conflict with violence and threats. Despite this, she also knows when to be pragmatic, as she attempted to retrieve Vincent's horse to prevent any potential conflict with the other communities. Tara also voices her concern about not helping the other communities, as she doesn't want the Saviors to appear as an enemy.

Pre-Apocalypse Location Unknown Nothing is known about Tara's life prior to or as the outbreak began. Post-Apocalypse Sometime after the outbreak, Tara finds a group called the Saviors and lives with them at the Sanctuary. Here's Negan Tara is seen in Part 11 of Here's Negan talking to Sherry when Negan and Tara twd arrive to camp. Later, Negan orders Tara and John tara twd secure a point outside the overrun hotel where the group can meet up.

Tara runs with Tara twd and finds a clearing outside the hotel. The group regain their stamina in the clearing after escaping the hotel. Tara asks where Negan is, when Negan suddenly bursts outside of the hotel, being dragged down by zombies. She helps saves Negan by shooting the zombies. Tara asks Negan if they're going to stay at the hotel, but he says they'll find a better place. Tara, alongside the group continue travelling after the hotel. They come across another larger group and join up with them.

What Comes After Tara is first seen with John, attempting to capture Jesus. Tara confronts him, threatening to cut off his testicles while brandishing her knife.

Jesus kicks Tara, John, and another Savior down, but she manages to whack him on the back of the head with her knife, knocking him down. Tara is about to kill Jesus when Dwight intervenes, stating that Negan wishes to question him.

No Turning Back As Dwight steps down from his role as tara twd and leaves the Sanctuary, the other members of the Saviors make remarks as he packs.

Tara is seen along with Mark and Sherry where she comments that the group is better off without him, unhappy with his decision to leave. The Whisperer War When Vincent arrives tara twd the Sanctuary to ask for aid against the Whisperers, Tara threatens him and refuses to help. They then take Vincent's horses and force him to walk back to Alexandria. Sherry later asks Tara to go and find Vincent before he is able to arrive back at Alexandria, realizing that what they had done could start a conflict with the other communities.

Tara attempts to find Vincent, but he had already been found by Heath. Heath tells Tara to leave after she refuses to assist in defending against the Whisperers.

A Certain Doom John and Tara watch from afar as Alexandria gets overrun with walkers. "This is going to be a hell of a show" John says to Tara. They decide to wait until the Alexandrians have killed most of them, and then go to help to clean up what's left. The Saviors, including Tara, arrive at Alexandria and get tara twd a fight with Dwight, Laura, and Heath.

The Saviors then take the three of them hostage and take them to Rick. The Saviors say that they don't want to be part of his network of communities anymore. Rick asks if they are trying to become their enemies, but John responds that they are just trying to send a message. Tara and the others then spot Negan, and while they are distracted, they are tackled to the ground by Dwight and Laura and are taken hostage.

Sherry then leaves to talk with Rick inside, leaving Tara and the other Saviors outside. Much to Tara's shock, she receives news that while the two leaders were discussing, Sherry attacked Rick and was killed by him in self-defense. John doesn't take the news well and threatens Rick with his gun.

Negan steps in and calms down the situation, demanding the Saviors to pack up and go home. Rest In Peace Tara is not seen or mentioned in the 25 year time-skip, leaving her fate unknown.

After failing to get the people to follow them, the Chalmers left after finding a car that worked. While a quarter of a mile down the road, several people on motorcycles attacked the people in front of the gated building while April compared the situation to the film "Road Warrior." Watching what happened to the innocent people left a certain feeling of guilt and distrust to other survivors.

They then took an Amtrak train from Dalton to Atlanta, which was full of the undead. They traveled there at night in stolen cars searching for the refugee center before finally finding an apartment complex to make a long term base in the middle of Atlanta. Rise of the Governor After holding up in the complex for an extended period of time and clearing the floors they felt safe enough entering for supplies, Philip Blake and his group of survivors, which included his daughter Penny, his brother Brian, and his friend Nick, entered Atlanta.

After Philips's group became stranded on foot after losing their car, April offered them to stay with her family in her apartment complex. After a bit of uneasiness between both parties, the two groups formed a close bond with one another which starts to form a family in Philip's mind.

David Chalmers dies of tara twd lung disease and comes back as an undead and he attacks Tara, who was grieving by his bedside. Luckily for her, Philip was able to kill her undead father. When Alanna Masterson appeared on Talking Dead after the Sept. 12, 2021 episode of The Walking Dead, it was bittersweet for fans.

It forced them to remember Tara's best moments from the series, but it also reminded them of her untimely death. However, tara twd are some more tara twd fans who are trying to remember how Tara died in The Walking Dead. Alanna played Tara for six seasons before she was killed off the long-running AMC series. Of course, she's in good company, with the likes of Carl, Glenn, and Hershel, just to name a few. But because her death was unexpected by tons of fans and still felt by many, let's revisit the tragedy that led to losing Tara.

Although Tara doesn't live long enough to actually fight in the war, which ravages both Alexandria and Hilltop, she is killed because of it. In order to make a border between the land of the survivors and the Whisperers, Alpha kidnaps several members of the communities. Tara twd kills them and places their zombified heads on stakes to mark the border. Tara's head is one of them. Tara's death happens off-screen, but it is still a monumental moment in the series.

While she wasn't necessarily an untouchable (read: Daryl or Carol), she was a big part of tara twd show. She had been with the other survivors for several seasons, and she was in a leadership position.

Her death was another that showed that almost no one is safe on The Walking Dead. When Daryl, Michonne, Carol, Siddiq, and Yumiko find Tara among the staked heads, it is revealed that a few other key innocent characters were also killed off-screen, like Carol's adoptive son, Henry, and another of the younger survivors, Enid.

Although Tara's actual death doesn't happen on the show in front of viewers' eyes, it's understood that Alpha kills her, along with the others, to make a point. Following her exit from the show, Alanna told Entertainment Weekly that she would miss "the cast and crew the most" and she would even miss working the long strenuous hours.

Clearly, all the hard work was worth the payoff and even now, fans miss Tara. Watch The Walking Dead on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on AMC. Ever since viewers were given the first signs that the Whisperers were coming, the show has built up to the "Fair of New Beginnings," which is such a terrible name for a fair when your life has been nothing but constant anarchy and danger, right?

It's practically begging for tara twd grisly surprise. But I digress — it feels like we've been waiting for this tara twd since Negan was taken down. Tara twd that it's finally happened, though, we know that things play out quite differently than expected.

If This Theory About Big Richie Is True, The Walking Dead Is Setting Negan Up In the penultimate episode of season nine, "The Calm Before," we see all three survivor communities come together for the grand fair that Michonne has been staunchly against Alexandria attending from the beginning.

A recent "incident" changes her mind, which means that the people of Alexandria are able to mingle with their friends for the first time in awhile. While the fair is full of laughter and fun, a wolf hides in sheep's clothing among them — Alpha wearing a blonde woman's hair and hat (who she killed and scalped in the beginning of the episode) out in the open. While Alpha plays dress-up and takes the time to chat with Lydia, the leaders of the communities get together to discuss the threat of the Whisperers.

They decide to truly unite — signing Ezekiel's pack — and to send warriors from each community to preemptively attack the Whisperers since they know they're coming for Lydia.

The selected warriors take off, and it's not long before they run into a busted cart that formerly belonged to the blonde woman who Alpha scalped. Michonne, Carol, Yumiko, and Daryl split off from the group to track down the Whisperers, hoping the woman and her husband are still alive (LOL, really?).

To the shock of no one, the four get captured. Apparently Whisperers aren't just creepy AF — they can also guide the walkers wherever they want! But instead of killing them — which they would kind of deserve for falling into a trap so easily — Alpha takes Daryl on a trip.

She shows him a massive herd of walkers and tells him that her people are hiding among them. Apparently Whisperers aren't just creepy AF — they can also guide the walkers wherever they want! Fun little surprise there. Alpha tells Daryl that she's letting him and the others go free, but there's a clear separation between territories now and the Whisperers own the south.

Daryl asks where the line of separation is and Alpha ominously says, "You'll see it as you leave." And boy, is she not lying. Daryl finds the rest of the group waiting for him in the woods, where they also find Siddiq tied to a tree and covered in blood. He points to the border Alpha was speaking of, a line made up of ten tall pikes with severed heads mounted on top: Ozzy, the leader of the Highwaymen; Frankie; Rodney; Nadia; Tammy Rose; Ronnie; Addy.

And then things start to get really emotional. As the group starts to realize their friends are also missing, we see the remaining three heads — Enid, Tara, and Henry.

This is where your mind might blow, because what. Of course, the show interjects our discovery of those heads with glimpses of people at the fair looking for them, really emphasizing how their absence is already felt.

We tara twd Gabriel asking around for Tara to discuss something, Alden (Callan McAuliffe) scanning the crowd during his performance for his girlfriend Enid, and Lydia (who has had the beginnings of a romance with Henry) running up to Ezekiel to tell him about her mom's appearance. All while back at the border, Daryl is begging Carol not to look at the pikes as the camera pans to reveal Henry as the last head — animated as the Whisperers impaled them just enough to allow them to turn into Walkers.

We knew The Walking Dead could be wild, but that's wild, wild. In the comics, King Ezekiel and Rosita are actually the ones to get the severed-head-on-a-pike treatment, so this is a twist of canon that no one expected. But every death on the show has its purpose, and as co-executive producer and director Greg Nicotero told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's always about what these moments and these deaths do to other characters that catapults them forward." "There's tara twd much behind the decisions of who goes and who doesn't go.

Ultimately, it's an organic decision, the way it evolves. In regard to Henry and his relationship to Carol, Daryl, and Ezekiel. . there's a very specific reason to lose him," Nicotero explained. "In terms of other characters? Tara stepped up as a leader once Jesus (Tom Payne) died. She was showing some real authority and leadership at Hilltop. You see a budding relationship and a budding romance (like Enid and Alden), where people are rising to what makes them the best person they can be.

In many instances, some people find those realizations. In other instances, it's brutally torn from them." There will likely be some realizations as the season finale looms closer and the communities figure out what to do now.

"The Calm Before" ends with Siddiq eulogizing those who have died. He tells everyone gathered around that Alpha left him alive to tell the story in the hopes tara twd it would destroy them, but that the story he wants to tell is a different one: about how their lost friends fought for each other and died as heroes.

He tells them that it's what he wants them to remember. We can only hope that memory keeps them warm, because the season nine finale airing on March 31 already looks particularly stormy. The world of walkers is about to receive one of the ancient promises from its comic book source material: Winter in the South.
When Maggie Greene (played by Lauren Cohan) went off to find herself midway through Season 9, a time-jump took place on the show.

In that span of time, Jesus (Tom Payne) and Tara (Masterson) became the leaders at Hilltop. Tara first appeared in Season 4 of the show, sharing scenes with the Governor during her debut episode. Later, she was on hand when the Prison was overrun by the Governor, but she was accepted into the main group by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) a short time later.

Tara became close with Eugene, but would later lose a lot of other people that were close to her at the hands of the Saviors. When Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed her girlfriend Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever) and her friends Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) she became quite vengeful. Though she mellowed out a lot during Season 9, her character still suffered from the pains of her past. We had so much fun with @LaurenCohan, @AlannaMasterson, and our Ultimate #TWD Fans Jill and Brandenn.

After Jesus was killed by a member of the Whisperers, Tara took over as the leader of Hilltop. It ended up being a short-lived stint, as Alpha set designs upon murdering Tara. During the fateful episode involving the pikes in Season 9, Tara was murdered and her head was placed on a pike that now serves as the tara twd.

Sign up for our TV newsletter! It was a shocking exit from the show for actress Alanna Masterson and it frustrated a lot of viewers. It ended up being a pretty big surprise that she was one of the characters written out of the show at that interval, but the writers decided to keep Rosita (Christian Serratos) and her baby around. Calm down Tara! The show will return! But in the meantime, play the Official Game of The Walking Dead!

More story of that night has to be told because Siddiq (Avi Nash) — the survivor Alpha left to tell the story — still holds a missing piece to the puzzle.
