Luc Montagnier (wikipedia) Nobel laureate in medicine for discovering AIDS, virologist Professor Luc Montagnier, was invited to the Luxembourg Parliament to accompany petitioners speaking out against compulsory vaccination on Wednesday 12th of January. He spoke on the Covid vaccines and Geneticist Alexandra Henrion Caude was also there. Luc Montagnier said in his speech: “These vaccines are poisons.

They are not real vaccines. The mRNA allows its message to be transcribed throughout the body, uncontrollably. No one can say for each of us where these messages will go. This is luc montagnier a terrible unknown. And in fact we are now learning that this is a work published over a year ago that these mRNAs contain an area that we can call prion, which is an area capable of introducing protein modifications in an unpredictable way.

As a doctor I knew 21 people who received 2 doses of Pfizer vaccine, there is another person who received Moderna. The 21 died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease caused by prions. There is therefore a known risk to luc montagnier health.” The Nobel laureate initially thanked for the invitation to attend such an important meeting as he said not only for Luxembourg and Europe but for the whole world.

He added that as a doctor it is even more important for him “that there is a discussion about Medical Ethics that we are part of Hippocrates of the principle of “Primum non nocere” first, do not harm”, bound by the oath we make. We must respect the Ethics of Medicine to care for and heal but what is happening today is completely the opposite.” As he characteristically pointed out, it is “a massive campaign with marketing rules to sell and impose products that kill.

Fortunately not all the world but older and now younger, sportsmen and even children.” For those interested, here is the summary of the article to which Luc Montagnier refers: Professor Montagnier’s interview to France Soir in November 2021 To give credit to the upstream scientist, his prediction that the use of a new type of vaccine could lead to adverse effects, including incurable Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, began to come true, and cases of this disease that developed after vaccination have already been registered.

Professor Montagnier also drew parallels between the covid and HIV viruses, mentioned the island of Mayotte and spoke about the dangers of aluminum in vaccines.

Professor, we have already met with you before, discussing the origin of the virus, and then your concerns about the side effects of vaccination. Well, not much time has passed, and we can say that you were right: the new vaccines are really not perfect. – Yes, and the worst thing is that people die. Including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

This is a disease in which the brain turns into something like a sponge, a specific form of encephalopathy. Under normal conditions, this disease is extremely rare – yes, there is a genetically determined form of the disease, but if you exclude the genetic factor, somewhere in a million people are at risk of getting sick. But now it’s not like that anymore? Are people getting sick because of new vaccines? And how many cases of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease have already been noted?

– At least 5. These are completely different people, and there is nothing in common between them, except that around April-May of this year they were vaccinated with Pfizer. Soon the first signs of the disease appeared – at first not so noticeable, but in the case of Creutzfeldt – Jakob, the condition worsens very quickly. All of these people died within 2-3 months of being vaccinated.

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is called prion disease. What are prions anyway? – Prions were discovered relatively recently, they were most studied in the USA, back in England and here in France. Luc montagnier prion is a specific type of protein that can attack and destroy healthy cells, so that they can no longer recover. Can we say that prions are a serious threat to humanity?

– Unfortunately, we don’t know much about them. At the moment, it can only be argued that prion diseases are fatal and incurable. In the early 1980s, there was a monstrous scandal in France when more than 120 children died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

And they got sick because they were vaccinated containing an extract of the human pituitary gland. The material for vaccination was taken from old people who died in nursing homes, but they themselves did not have Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, but had either Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease.

Thus, between all these diseases there was something in common, which was not suspected at that time, and something like infection occurred at the molecular level. Later I got acquainted with the results of an experiment that was carried out in Spain on sheep. There, as a result of vaccination, the animals began to itch all the time and lose their coat.

It turned out that they were sick with pruritus, a disease also called scrapie, and this is also a prion infection. Then the scientists wondered which of the components of the vaccine caused the formation of prions, and after additional research, they came to the conclusion that the fault is aluminum, which was used in vaccines as an adjuvant. In your opinion, just 5 cases of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease are enough to demand a stop to vaccination?

– At least pause in order to study the issue. We don’t even know if aluminum is used in the Pfizer vaccine, there is no data on this. We are forced to wander in the dark and build hypotheses. I do not rule out that the protein that is converted into a prion is the one that is introduced into the body along with the vaccine, namely the spike protein … The famous Spike? – It is. But in order to prove or disprove this hypothesis, it is necessary to do a tremendous amount of work in specialized scientific centers that are engaged in research on the work of the brain.

Meanwhile, the government has already started talking about revaccination of the population. – Yes, and this is some kind of madness – as if, apart from vaccines, there are no cures for viral diseases.

This is ridiculous luc montagnier viruses mutate and learn to bypass vaccines. More attention should be paid to treatment in the early stages of the disease and antibiotics should not be forgotten, because the coronavirus has an accomplice – a bacterium, which for some reason they prefer to forget about. Now Italian scientists are conducting research on this issue, but on my own I will add this: at one time, while studying the HIV virus, I found that it acts in tandem with a bacterium.

So, in the case of coronavirus, we are dealing with exactly the same symbiosis. So, you are categorically against new vaccines? – Listen, how many miscarriages have already occurred in pregnant women after vaccination, and now they are already talking about vaccinating children. This is unacceptable because we cannot assess how the effects of vaccination will affect future generations.

After all, there is a BCG vaccine that is used against tuberculosis, and it also works against other diseases by stimulating cellular immunity. It is usually not mentioned, they only talk about antibodies, but cellular immunity is very important.

You see, this whole story with vaccines of a new type is pure commerce, there is no science. People began to chase newfangled vaccines, forgetting that you can simply stimulate cellular immunity with the same BCG vaccine. For example, on the island of Mayotte (an island in the Indian Ocean, territory of France), luc montagnier vaccination is mandatory, and there were very few luc montagnier of covid disease until the order for universal vaccination with new vaccines was luc montagnier from the metropolis.

And here the curve of diseases has crept up sharply. Prof. Luc Montagnier: “There are luc montagnier who die from the vaccine Effects. Stop vaccinations now” – Nobel laureate’s anxious appeal to governments The leading, internationally renowned and Nobel laureate, French virologist Luc Montagnier, is ringing the bell of danger to humanity and calling on governments to.

Born on 18 August 1932, Luc grew up to become a well-known French virologist who was later joint recipient, with Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Harald zur Hausen, of the 2008 Nobel Prize luc montagnier Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus. He used to work as a researcher at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. He was also a full-time professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.

Mr. Luc has received the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi for the discovery of HIV. In his point of view, Mr. Montagnier argued in 2020 that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was man-made in a laboratory. He believed that the virus might have luc montagnier the result of an attempt to create a vaccine for HIV/AIDS. His allegation came after the U.S had launched a probe into whether the virus came from a laboratory. In his beliefs, the presence of elements of HIV and the germ of malaria in the genome of coronavirus is highly suspect and the characteristics of the virus could not have arisen naturally.

Mr. Montagnier was asked for assistance in establishing the cause of a mysterious new syndrome, AIDS in 1982, by Willy Rozenbaum, a clinician at the Hôpital Bichat hospital in Paris. According to Rozenbaum, the cause of the disease might be a retrovirus. Montagnier and members of his group at the Pasteur Institute that included Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Jean-Claude Chermann, had extensive experience with retroviruses.

The whole team examined samples taken from Rozenbaum’s AIDS patients, found the virus that would later become known as HIV in a lymph node biopsy.

As it was not then clear that it was the cause of AIDS, it was later named “lymphadenopathy-associated virus”, or LAV, and published their findings in the journal Science on 20 May 1983. May many people wake up to The truth. Reply • Finding Dr. Luc Montagnier to be dead is another red flag, just luc montagnier the untimely death of Dr. Kary Mullis, the inventor of the PCR test, who died just before the PLANDEMIC. Montagnier had been ostracized by the scientific community for questioning the validity of the statement “HIV causes AIDS” and he’s a main person who isolated HIV.

He also luc montagnier a ton of questions with his work on water memory whereby luc montagnier discovered that you could capture the vibration or frequency of luc montagnier virus suspended in water and then duplicate it because water can store memory and it’s the frequency in water that actually manifests the virus. For example, you could transmit that HIV frequency to another lab across the globe and recreate the virus using only water and the building blocks of life like what makes DNA/RNA.

It negates the need for a literal lab leak happening to cause the PLANDEMIC with coronavirus, and he looked at the genetic information of luc montagnier supposed novel coronavirus and also identified that HIV elements were in the new lab altered coronavirus. Now there’s people popping up positive for HIV after their jabs. He was vehemently opposed to the mass Covid vaccination campaign and SHOULD be our leading expert in advising the public, but he was censored.

Even his untimely and sudden death has to make you wonder if it was of natural causes, or if someone spared no expense to silence him for telling us the truth of the PLANDEMIC. Definitely look into his mind blowing research on water memory!!! It changed everything he thought he knew about viruses. What quantum physics did to our understanding of physics, water memory is doing to virology and what we THINK is the cause of disease. Reply • This doctor was my hero.

I looked up everything he said and it was all absolutely true. The media smeared him and luc montagnier people believed the media. He was courageously putting out the warning which the whole world should have heeded. His death is a great loss to the world. God gets another shining soul in Heaven.

He knows that this luc montagnier worldwide bioterrorism. Which is why he, along with a number of other doctors and scientists, have signed sworn affidavits alleging “crimes against humanity and attempted genocide” and submitted these affidavits to International Court: If you trust Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Anthony Fauci, Rochelle Wolensky, Klaus Schwab, and Bill Gates over Nobel-Prize-winning Professor Luc Montagnier, you will not need to bother watching the video above, nor will you need read another word of this.

Professor Luc Montagnier won the 2008 Luc montagnier Prize in medicine for his profound understanding of and his insights into HIV. He is a genius in the truest sense of the word — as much for his pure independence of thought and his unwavering commitment to reason and scientific truth — even in the face of a near-overwhelming conformity and a stark-raving-mad worldwide pressure — as much for this, I say again, as for his life-saving and undeniably brilliant understanding of HIV, because of which understanding millions of lives all across the planet have been saved and a great deal of suffering banished.

No amount of propaganda can touch this. No amount of propaganda can touch him. Nothing can touch his accomplishments. No bureau and no politician can ever touch his genius. The world desperately needs many, many, many more Dr.

Luc Montagniers — now more than ever: when science has been politicized and corrupted beyond repair, when truth has been replaced by complete propaganda, when critical thought has been replaced by dogma, conformity, coercion, force. Please listen also to the luc montagnier brilliant Nobel-Prize nominee Dr.

Vladimir (“Zev”) Zelenko, MD — whose early-treatment protocols for the Wuhan virus have saved thousands and thousands and thousands of lives, and which protocols he’s then taught to other doctors worldwide, thereby saving millions of lives, beginning clear back at the beginning, in early March of 2020, before the lockdowns. Here Dr. Zelenko is testifying luc montagnier the Rabbinical Court of Israel: “Wake up! This is World War III … this is genocide.” (Click this to hear Dr.

Zelenko explain how he discovered his early-treatment protocols.) The razorblade that slashes down the entirety of all pro-genetic-injection-by-coercion arguments (YouTube deleted this and so did Vimeo): Humans think by means of words.

The foremost function of language — written, spoken, signed, or anything else — is not fundamentally communication, which comes after-the-fact, but rather to create understanding in one’s own mind: before any person can communicate, any person must first have something she or he can communicate.

Clear and accurate definitions are our means of apprehending reality. Clear definitions are the watchdogs of human thought and cognitive clarity. They are our first and in many ways final fortification against the pandemonium of psychological disintegration and epistemological collapse. In 1946, George Orwell wrote a remarkable essay which is largely concerned with this very subject.

Orwell’s essay is called “ Politics and the English Language,” and in this essay, George Orwell convincingly argues that there’s a direct and demonstrable link between politics and poor language, between authoritarian governments and the degeneration of language.

Because, wrote Orwell (and I agree), “ all issues are at root political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred, and schizophrenia. When the general atmosphere is bad, language luc montagnier suffer.

I should expect to find — this is a guess which I have not sufficient knowledge to verify — that the German, Russian and Italian languages have all deteriorated in the last ten or fifteen years, as a result of dictatorship…. “The goal of propaganda is not to convince but rather to so overwhelm the human brain with noise and contradictions that it’s nearly impossible to gather all these contradictions and noise together, to form a coherent argument against it all; so that, exhausted, people give up fighting and go along.” As the mass murderer Vladimir Lenin explained it: “First, confuse the vocabulary.” It’s in this context that I show you now how our own CDC has, without notification or explanation, changed the definition of the word “vaccine.” This is from the CDC website: Meriam-Webster has changed the definition as well: The exact same thing has happened with the term luc montagnier The same thing has happened with the regular seasonal flu: And “unvaccinated”: The following is also a variation on the theme — an outright and provable lie from a licensed MD named Michael Osterholm, a lie diametrically opposite the actual facts, which this doctor knows, which means that what he’s saying here constitutes medical malfeasance.

Yet in the sheer unmitigated gall of telling such a staggering lie with a straight face, this doctor knows that most luc montagnier would never conceive that a licensed physician could commit such malfeasance and fraud, nor be capable of such a wild mistake. Most people would be absolutely wrong in never being able to conceive these things. This physician is guilty of precisely such medicinal malfeasance and fraud, and as such he is a criminal of the highest order.

In committing a crime of such colossal monstrousness, this licensed medical doctor whose name is Michael Osterholm — black-framed eyeglasses, white hair, “Minneapolis” stamped across the top part of his necktie on the righthand side of the screenshot directly below — would, in every state across America right now, today, be subject to lifelong imprisonment and even the death-penalty.

His crime is that serious and that appalling: it is the crime of deliberately and with malice aforethought doing harm to children. As I’ve written before, one of the absolutely incontrovertible facts about the Wuhan virus luc montagnier a fact understood from the beginning by virtually all scientists and doctors around the globe, including the most alarmist, zealous catastrophists and lockdown advocates — is that this virus does not affect children on anywhere near the same level as regular seasonal flu.

The Wuhan virus, which has so preposterously come to be called Covid-19, is far less serious for children than the regular seasonal flu. Period. Nor do children pass it along to adults. I reiterate for emphasis: Nor do children pass it along to adults. “The intact immune systems [of children] turn cars into car parts,” as one good doctor aptly described it. Which is why it was insanely stupid — strike that: which is why it was arrant insanity to close our schools for any amount of time, let alone a full year.

Closing schools prolonged this plandemic incalculably, immeasurably, and many people, myself among them, warned of this three weeks into lockdowns. The children would have brought us to herd immunity in rapid fashion, and Sweden proves this. Sagely Sweden never closed their schools, and do you know how many children died from Covid in Sweden? Zero. This is where Sweden is now with their total population (not just children): The only children — anywhere — who have died from the Wuhan virus are children with comorbidities, including but not limited to cancer.

Here’s some of the real-world data: This doctor from John Hopkins is beginning to understand the gravity of what’s been going on. There’s an easy way, reader, to combat the constant, relentless stream of deliberate misinformation and propaganda coming at us, the continual changing of definitions and therefore meaning, which is being done to confuse us all — for the following reason and for no reason other: to psychologically manipulate us and to thereby wear us into exhaustion so that (they hope) we capitulate from sheer fatigue.

This is how we combat it: We remain fully aware that it’s happening — in any and everything we see and read and hear — no matter the platform, no matter how “fair and balanced” or “conservative” luc montagnier “progressive” or innocuous it may seem — and then we do not bother attempting to sort through all this chaos, nor do we in any way strive to untangle all the contradictions: because that’s precisely their hope and tactic, because the moment we wade into that cesspool of pandemonium, it will yank luc montagnier us like an luc montagnier.

The following is, for example, another outright lie: How do I know that it’s a lie? Because a friend, who’s a physician in Idaho, has called me and talked to me about it.

There is a staffing crisis because so many among doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel luc montagnier leaving over mandates — because they’ve seen firsthand how dangerous these so-called vaccines are.

( Listen to what this exceptionally smart, hard-working, exemplary employee — a physician’s assistant — has to say, because it will blow you away, and it’s a recent talk: here’s the link again.) They’re not overwhelmed because of huge luc montagnier of Covid patients, though they will ration care and use that lie to justify it — and my doctor friend in Idaho is beside himself.

Many, many, many good doctors and nurses are. None of the medical professionals I’ve spoken with have ever seen anything like this: their entire livelihoods and professions run now by a dizzying chain of bureaucratic agencies, representatives from which never set foot in these practices or hospitals.

This is what he’s talking about: As I recently wrote: There are axioms which you can know are always infallible guides and gauges, and by means of which you’ll be able to spot and discern luc montagnier is true and what is not true.

First: The shut-down of open inquiry. Any time any person or any institution, no matter how venerable or well-respected — even if it’s religious — calls for the shut-down of luc montagnier inquiry, either explicitly or implicitly (i.e. in the act of shutting it down one way or another, even indirectly, such as by threatening or fining someone for printing a story), that person or institution is in the wrong. Always. They’re engaged in a campaign of misinformation and psychological manipulation.

“A lie resents questioning; but truth is untroubled in defending itself.” Second: the attempt to justify the instigation of state force and governmental coercion — i.e. a policy of command-and-control over voluntary, consensual human action. Any person or any institution, no matter how venerable or well-respected, even religious institutions, which call for the instigation of force or coercion leveled upon individual human-beings, no matter the stated ends or goals, is always and unequivocally in the wrong.

Always. If you keep those two axioms fixed steadfastly inside your mind, you will forever be impervious to even the most subtle and manipulative propaganda tactics. These are the gravest dangers facing us all: the endless, relentless flood of misinformation and propaganda, which is a form of psychological warfare, deliberately meant to confuse.

Yet by simply being aware that it is happening — and happening on a global scale with a reach and scope never in history seen before — you will go a very long way in protecting your mind from its corrosive insidious spread. Partisan politics — the endless quibbling and arguing that partisan politics engender — are one of the main tactics used to distract us all, no matter where we place luc montagnier on the politico-economic spectrum: to distract us all from the full awareness of the propaganda and misinformation.

The powers-that-be know this. It is the cornerstone in their propaganda pyramid: foment greater and greater partisan strife among humans to more deeply manipulate our psychologies. Indeed, the other grave danger facing us all, across the world, is the total push, which we’re only just beginning to see, to pit us against each other: the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated, the sick luc montagnier the healthy, the dirty versus the clean. This will happen. It’s already started. And the danger of it cannot be overstated or exaggerated.

Please keep in mind also that what constitutes “vaccinated” will mean frequency of injections and booster injections: one shot, two shots, and then the booster — I promise you this is only the beginning.

It’s already changed in many countries around the globe. Please never forget either: this is a biologically active genetic platform never fully luc montagnier for longterm safety or consequences. This pathetically obvious propaganda illustrates perfectly why CNN now has a fraction the audience of, for instance, podcaster Joe Rogan. “Covid misinformation and vaccine misinformation is killing people every day.

One of the great crises of our time is a lack of trust in a reliable source of truthful information. There are a luc montagnier of people who simply can not be reasoned with.

Mr. Luc has acquired Tthe 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Drugs and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi for the invention of HIV. In his standpoint, Mr. Montagnier argued in 2020 that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was man-made in a laboratory. He believed that the virus might need been the results of an try to create a vaccine for HIV/AIDS. His allegation got here after the U.S had launched a probe into whether or not the virus got here from a laboratory.

In his beliefs, the presence of components of HIV and the germ of malaria within the genome of luc montagnier is extremely suspect and the traits of the virus couldn’t have arisen naturally.

Mr. Montagnier was requested for help in establishing the reason for a mysterious new syndrome, AIDS in 1982, by Willy Rozenbaum, a clinician on the Hôpital Bichat hospital in Paris. In accordance with Luc montagnier, the reason for the illness is likely to be a retrovirus. Montagnier and members of his group on the Pasteur Institute that included Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Jean-Claude Chermann, had intensive expertise with retroviruses.

The entire workforce examined samples taken from Rozenbaum’s AIDS sufferers, discovered the virus that may later turn out to be generally known as HIV in a lymph node biopsy. Because it was not then clear that it was the reason for AIDS, it was later named “lymphadenopathy-associated virus”, or LAV, and revealed their findings within the journal Science on 20 Might 1983. [4] He worked as a researcher at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and as a full-time professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. [5] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Montagnier promoted the conspiracy theory that SARS-CoV-2, the causative virus, was deliberately created and escaped from a laboratory. [6] Such a claim has been rejected by other virologists. [7] [8] [9] He has been criticised by other academics for using his Nobel prize status to "spread dangerous health messages outside his field of knowledge".

[ citation needed] Rozenbaum had suggested at scientific meetings that the cause of the disease might be a retrovirus. Montagnier and members of his group at the Pasteur Institute, notably including Françoise Barré-Sinoussi and Jean-Claude Chermann, had extensive experience with retroviruses. [ citation needed] Montagnier and his team examined samples taken from Rozenbaum's AIDS patients and found the virus that would later become known as HIV in a lymph node biopsy.

[ citation needed] They named it "lymphadenopathy-associated virus", or LAV, since it was not then clear that it was the cause of AIDS, and published their findings in the journal Science on 20 May 1983. [11] A team led by Robert Gallo of the United States published similar findings in the same issue of Science and later confirmed the discovery of the virus and presented evidence that it caused AIDS.

Gallo called the virus "human T-lymphotropic virus type III" (HTLV-III) because of perceived similarities with HTLV-I and -II, which had previously been discovered in his lab. [12] Because of the timing of the discoveries, whether Montagnier's or Gallo's group was first to isolate HIV was for many years the subject of an acrimonious dispute. HIV isolates usually have a high degree of variability because the virus mutates rapidly. [ citation needed] In comparison, the first two-human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) isolates, Lai/LAV (formerly LAV, isolated at the Pasteur Institute) and Lai/IIIB (formerly HTLV-IIIB, isolated from a pooled culture at the Laboratory of Tumor Cell Biology (LTCB) of the National Cancer Institute) were strikingly similar in sequence, suggesting that the two isolates were in fact the same, or at least shared a common source.

[ citation needed] In November 1990, the Office of Scientific Integrity at the National Institutes of Health attempted luc montagnier clear up the matter by commissioning a group at Roche to analyze archival samples established at the Pasteur Institute and the Laboratory of Tumor Cell Biology (LTCB) luc montagnier the National Cancer Institute between 1983 and 1985.

The group, led by American epidemiologist Sheng-Yung Chang, examined archival specimens and concluded in Nature in 1993 that the American sample in fact originated from the French lab. [ citation needed] Chang determined that the French group's LAV was a virus from one patient that had contaminated a culture from another.

On request, Montagnier's group had sent a sample of this culture to Gallo, not knowing it contained two viruses. It then contaminated the pooled culture on which Gallo was working. [13] Before the 1993 publication of Chang's results, Gallo's lab was accused and initially found guilty of "minor misconduct" by the Office of Scientific Integrity in 1991, and then by the newly created Office of Research Integrity in 1992 for the misappropriation of a sample of HIV produced at the Pasteur Institute.

[14] The subsequent publication in 1993 of Chang's investigation cleared Gallo's lab of luc montagnier charges, although his reputation had already been tainted by the accusations. Today it is agreed that Montagnier's group first isolated HIV, [15] but Gallo's group is credited with discovering that the virus causes AIDS and with generating much of the science luc montagnier made the discovery possible, including a technique previously developed by Gallo's lab for growing T cells in the laboratory.

[16] When Montagnier's group first published their discovery, they said HIV's role in causing AIDS "remains to be determined." [17] The question of whether the true discoverers of the virus were French or American was more than a matter of prestige.

A US government patent for the AIDS test, filed by the United States Department of Health and Human Services and based on what was claimed to be Gallo's identification of the virus, was at stake. [ citation needed] In 1987, both governments attempted to end the dispute by arranging to split the prestige of the discovery and the proceeds from the patent 50–50, [18] naming Montagnier and Gallo co-discoverers. [17] The two scientists continued to dispute each other's claims until 1987.

It was not until French President François Mitterrand and American President Ronald Reagan met in person that the major issues were ironed out. The scientific protagonists finally agreed to share credit for the discovery of HIV, and in 1986, both the French and the US names (LAV and HTLV-III) were dropped in favor of the new term human immunodeficiency virus (virus de l'immunodéficience humaine, abbreviated HIV or VIH) (Coffin, 1986).

They concluded that the origin of the HIV-1 Lai/IIIB isolate discovered by Gallo was the same as that discovered by Montagnier (but not known by Montagnier to cause AIDS). This compromise allowed Montagnier and Gallo to end their feud and collaborate with each other again, writing a chronology that appeared in Nature that year.

[17] On 29 November 2002 issue of Science, Gallo and Montagnier published a series of articles, one of which was co-written by both scientists, in which they acknowledged the pivotal roles that each had played in the discovery of HIV. [19] luc montagnier [21] Personal life and death Montagnier was born in Chabris, and was educated luc montagnier the University of Poitiers and the University of Paris, where he also taught. In 1961, Montagnier married Dorothea Ackerman, and they had three children.

[22] He died in Neuilly-sur-Seine on 8 February 2022, at the age of 89. [23] Awards and honors The 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Montagnier and Françoise Barré-Sinoussi for the discovery of HIV. [24] They shared the Prize with Harald zur Hausen, who discovered that human papilloma viruses can cause cervical cancer.

[17] [25] Montagnier said he was "surprised" that Robert Gallo luc montagnier not also recognized by the Nobel Committee: "It was important to prove that HIV was the cause of AIDS, and Gallo had a very important role in that. I'm very sorry for Robert Gallo." [17] According to Maria Masucci, a member of the Nobel Assembly, "there was no doubt as to who made the fundamental discoveries." [24] Montagnier was the co-founder of the World Foundation luc montagnier AIDS Research and Prevention and co-directed the Program for International Viral Collaboration.

He was the founder and a former president of the Houston-based World Foundation for Medical Research and Prevention. He received more than 20 major awards, including the National Order of Merit (Commander, 1986) and the Légion d'honneur (Knight: 1984; Officer: 1990; Commander: 1993; Grand Officer: 2009), [26] [27] He was a recipient of the Lasker Award and the Scheele Award (1986), the Louis-Jeantet Prize for medicine (1986), the Gairdner Award (1987), the Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement (1987), [28] King Faisal International Prize (1993) (known as the Arab Nobel Prize), and the Prince of Asturias Award (2000).

He was also a member of the Académie Nationale de Médecine.

{INSERTKEYS} [29] Montagnier was awarded the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D.) from Whittier College in 2010. [30] Controversies Electromagnetic signals from DNA Main article: DNA teleportation In 2009, Montagnier published two independently made, controversial research studies, one of which was entitled "Electromagnetic Signals Are Produced by Aqueous Nanostructures Derived from Bacterial DNA Sequences." [31] [ additional citation(s) needed] Jeff Reimers of the University of Sydney said that, if its conclusions are true, "these would be the most significant experiments performed in the past 90 years, demanding re-evaluation of the whole conceptual framework of modern chemistry".

[32] The paper concludes that diluted DNA from pathogenic bacterial and viral species is able to emit specific radio waves" and that "these radio waves [are] associated with 'nanostructures' in the solution that might be able to recreate the pathogen". [ citation needed] They were published in a new journal of which he was chairman of the editorial board, [33] allegedly [32] detecting electromagnetic signals from bacterial DNA ( M.

pirum and E. coli) in water that had been prepared using agitation and high dilutions, [34] and similar research on electromagnetic detection of HIV RNA in the blood of AIDS patients treated by antiretroviral therapy. [35] Homeopathy On 28 June 2010, Montagnier spoke at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany, [36] "where 60 Nobel prize winners had gathered, along with 700 other scientists, to discuss the latest breakthroughs in medicine, chemistry and physics." [37] He "stunned his colleagues ...

when he presented a new method for detecting viral infections that bore close parallels to the basic tenets of homeopathy. Although fellow Nobel prize winners – who view homeopathy as quackery – were left openly shaking their heads, Montagnier's comments were rapidly embraced by homeopaths eager for greater credibility.

Cristal Sumner, of the British Homeopathic Association, said Montagnier's work gave homeopathy 'a true scientific ethos'." [37] When asked by Canada's CBC Marketplace program if his work was indeed a theoretical basis for homeopathy as homeopaths had claimed, Montagnier replied that one "cannot extrapolate it to the products used in homeopathy". [38] Responses, criticisms, and interviews The paper met with harsh criticism for not being peer-reviewed, and its claims unsubstantiated by modern mainstream conventions of physics and chemistry.

No third party has replicated the findings as of March 2015. [ citation needed] In response to Montagnier's statement that the generally unfavorable response is due to the "non-understanding or misunderstanding of the breakthrough findings", blogger Andy Lewis has written that he has found it difficult to assert what the paper "actually claims", saying: "The paper ... lacks any rigour. ... important experimental steps are described dismissively in a sentence and little attempt is made to describe the detail of the work".

[39] While homeopaths claim his research as support for homeopathy, many scientists have greeted it with scorn and harsh criticism. [32] [40] [41] In a 24 December 2010 Science magazine interview entitled "French Nobelist Escapes ‘Intellectual Terror’ to Pursue Radical Ideas in China", he was questioned about his research and plans. In the interview he stated that Jacques Benveniste, whose controversial homeopathic work had been discredited, was "a modern Galileo".

When asked if he was not "worried that your colleagues will think you have drifted into pseudo-science", he replied: "No, because it’s not pseudoscience. It’s not quackery. These are real phenomena which deserve further study." He also mentioned that his applications for funding had been turned down and that he was leaving his home country to set up shop in China so he could escape what he called the "intellectual terror" which he claimed had prevented others from publishing their results.

[ citation needed] He stated that China's Shanghai Jiao Tong University is more "open minded" to his research. There he was chairman of the editorial board [33] of a new journal which published his research.

[42] Montagnier was also questioned on his beliefs about homeopathy, to which he replied: "I can’t say that homeopathy is right in everything. What I can say now is that the high dilutions are right. High dilutions of something are not nothing.

They are water structures which mimic the original molecules. We find that with DNA, we cannot work at the extremely high dilutions used in homeopathy; we cannot go further than a 10 −18 dilution, or we lose the signal.

But even at 10 −18, you can calculate that there is not a single molecule of DNA left. And yet we detect a signal." [42] A 12 January 2011 New Scientist editorial described the controversial nature of the research, while also noting how many researchers "reacted with disbelief", with Gary Schuster comparing it to " pathological science." [32] biologist PZ Myers also described it as "pathological science." He described the paper as "one of the more unprofessional write-ups I've ever run across", and criticized the publication process as having an "unbelievable turnaround" time: "another suspicious sign are the dates.

[ citation needed] This paper was submitted on 3 January 2009, revised on 5 January 2009, and accepted on 6 January 2009", leading him to ask: "Who reviewed this, the author's mother? Maybe someone even closer. Guess who the chairman of the editorial board is: Luc Montagnier." [40] On 25 May 2012, he gave the keynote address [43] at the 2012 conference for AutismOne, an anti-vaccination group.

Similar to the controversy he aroused by extolling homeopathy, his latest group, Chronimed, claimed to have made a discovery for autistic children that was sharply criticized by scientist Steven Salzberg. [44] In 2017, 106 academic scientists wrote an open letter "calling [Montagnier] to order".

The letter read: "We, academics of medicine, cannot accept that one of our peers is using his Nobel prize [status] to spread dangerous health messages outside of his field of knowledge." [45] For his defense of such anti-scientific views, Montagnier has been cited as an example of the phenomenon called Nobel disease. [46] [47] COVID-19 pandemic In 2020, Montagnier argued that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was man-made in a laboratory and that it might have been the result of an attempt to create a vaccine for HIV/AIDS.

His allegation came after the United States had launched a probe into whether the virus came from a laboratory. According to Montagnier, the "presence of elements of HIV and germ of malaria in the genome of coronavirus is highly suspect and the characteristics of the virus could not have arisen naturally." [48] Montagnier's conclusions were rejected as hasty by the scientific community, considering the gene sequences are common among similar organisms.

[10] There is no evidence indicating the novel coronavirus is a man-made virus. Credit: Jean Guichard/Gamma-Rapho/Getty Luc Montagnier rose to scientific luc montagnier and won a Nobel prize for co-discovering HIV. His work made it possible to develop diagnostic tests and treatments that have saved countless lives. He spent his later years dismantling that hard-won reputation by espousing fringe theories and opposing vaccination.

His baseless claims about COVID-19 — that vaccines would drive the emergence of dangerous variants, or that the virus was engineered — were weaponized by misinformation campaigns. He luc montagnier on 8 Luc montagnier at the age of 89. Montagnier was born on 18 August 1932 in Chabris, France.

The Second World War marked his childhood with hunger and uncertainty, but his interest in science blossomed early. He embarked on the activity that has spawned countless researchers: tinkering with explosive compounds in a home laboratory. Later, he rigged a time-lapse camera to a microscope and studied chloroplasts’ response to light.

He was inspired to become a virologist after learning of the 1957 discovery that RNA from the tobacco mosaic virus could transmit infection. Montagnier worked in several laboratories before landing at the Pasteur Institute in Paris in 1972, building up his virology expertise along the way.

He specialized in retroviruses — RNA viruses that can insert a DNA copy of their genetic material into the genome of their host. This, along with advances in culturing immune cells and his use of reagents that block antiviral proteins called interferons to awaken dormant retroviruses in cells, came in handy in 1983.

A colleague sent him lymph node tissue taken from a French fashion designer thought to be in the early stages of AIDS. Victories against AIDS have lessons for COVID-19 At the time, when people were diagnosed with AIDS, they were often already living with a variety of infections, cancers and other disorders that complicated the search for the source of the disease.

Researchers speculated wildly: some blamed fungi or luc montagnier exposure. Others saw that a class of immune cells called CD4 + T cells were depleted in people with AIDS, and wondered whether the body’s immune system was targeting them. Montagnier was reminded of a known retrovirus that could infect CD4 + T cells, and that was transmitted through blood and sexual activity.

In Montagnier’s virology unit at the Pasteur Institute, Françoise Barré-Sinoussi isolated a new retrovirus from the lymph node biopsy; the team called it lymphadenopathy associated virus (LAV; F.

Barre-Sinoussi et al. Science 220, 868–871; 1983). When, in September 1983, Montagnier presented the results at a small, late-night session of a scientific meeting at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York, his audience was sceptical.

“This situation is not infrequent in science, since new discoveries often raise controversy,” he wrote in his Nobel prize biography. Soon after that presentation, a team led by virologist Robert Gallo, then at the US National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, helped to solidify the link between AIDS and the virus that Montagnier’s team had found (formally named HIV in 1986). Gallo had previously discovered other retroviruses that infect human cells, called human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV)-I and HTLV-II.

In 1984, his team isolated a retrovirus from samples taken from people with AIDS, and he called it HTLV-III. But it turned out to be identical to LAV, samples of which Montagnier had supplied to his lab. The two teams then waged an epic patent war over who should have the intellectual-property rights to a diagnostic test based on the virus.

Finally, in 1987, peace was brokered by US president Ronald Reagan and French prime minister Jacques Chirac, who agreed to divide the royalties from the test between the two countries, and to establish an international AIDS research and education fund. Africa: tackle HIV and COVID-19 together Given this history, many were surprised when, in 2008, Gallo did not receive a share of the Nobel prize.

Instead, Montagnier shared the prize for physiology or medicine with Barré-Sinoussi; virologist Harald zur Hausen was also honoured, for his unconnected discovery that human papillomaviruses are linked to cervical cancer.

After the discovery luc montagnier HIV, Montagnier’s work took a dismaying turn. He published a series of controversial articles claiming that highly diluted DNA from some pathogens emits electromagnetic waves. He invoked the debunked notion of ‘water memory’, arguing that the water is altered by the DNA in a way that retains some properties of the molecules even when they have been heavily diluted. (The concept of water memory had been championed by French immunologist Jacques Benveniste in a 1988 Nature paper that was later found to be irreproducible ( J.

Maddox et al. Nature 334, 287–290; 1988)). At the age of luc montagnier, Montagnier left France to lead a research institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China, to study the matter. Over time, Montagnier seemed not only to be comfortable with controversy, but to court it. He embraced homoeopathy and pseudoscientific ideas about autism. “He reached a stage where no researchers were able to provide comments or explanations for his late evolution,” says Bernard Meunier, former president of the French Academy of Sciences.

Others were more direct: “Luc Luc montagnier has lost it,” wrote Science columnist and chemist Derek Lowe in 2012. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Montagnier’s Nobel prize lent weight to his damaging views that the COVID-19 vaccine could be harmful.

By the end of his life, the image of his face was circulating on social media in anti-vaccination memes. Hard to credit that it had once been on commemorative postage stamps in honour of his contributions to public health. Nature 603, 223 (2022) doi:

(AP Photo/Luca Bruno, File) PARIS -- French researcher Luc Montagnier, who won a Nobel Prize in 2008 for discovering the HIV virus and more recently spread false claims about the coronavirus, has died at age 89, local government officials in France said.

Montagnier died Tuesday at the American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine, a western suburb of the capital, the area's city hall said. No other luc montagnier have been released. Montagnier, a virologist, led the team that in 1983 identified the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) which causes AIDS, leading him to share the 2008 Nobel Prize in medicine with colleague Francoise Barré-Sinoussi. French President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute in a written statement Thursday to Montagnier’s “major contribution” to the fight against AIDS and expressed condolences to his family.

Montagnier was born in 1932 in the village of Chabris in central France. According to his autobiography on the Nobel Prize website, Montagnier studied medicine in Poitiers and Paris. He said recent scientific discoveries in 1957 inspired him to become luc montagnier virologist in the rapidly advancing field of molecular biology.

He joined the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in 1960 and became head of the Pasteur Institute’s virology department in 1972. “My involvement in AIDS began in 1982, when the information circulated that a transmissible agent — possibly a virus — could be at luc montagnier origin of this new mysterious disease,” Montagnier said in his autobiography. In 1983, a working group led by him and Barré-Sinoussi at the Pasteur Institute isolated the virus that would later become known as HIV and was able to explain how it caused AIDS.

American scientist Robert Gallo claimed to have found the same virus at almost exactly the same time, sparking a disagreement over who should get the credit. The United States and France settled a dispute over the patent for an AIDS test in 1987. Montagnier was later credited as the discoverer of the virus, Gallo as the creator of the first test. Luc montagnier the end of the 2000s, Montagnier started expressing views devoid of a scientific basis. His opinions led him to be shunned by much of the international scientific community.

As the COVID-19 spread across the globe and conspiracy theories flourished, Montagnier was among those behind some of the misinformation about the origins of the coronavirus. During a 2020 interview with French news broadcaster CNews, he claimed that the coronavirus did not originate in nature and was manipulated. Experts who have looked at the genome sequence of the virus have said Montagnier's statement was incorrect.

At the time, AP made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact Montagnier. Last year, he claimed in a French documentary that COVID-19 vaccines led to the creation of coronavirus variants. Experts contacted by The Associated Press explained that variants found across the globe began emerging long before vaccines were widely available. They said the evidence suggests new variants evolved as a result of prolonged viral infections in the population and not vaccines, which are designed to prevent such infections.

Earlier this luc montagnier, Montagnier delivered a speech at a protest against vaccine certificates in Milan, Italy.
