A pop-style. A grimy style. A sketchbook style. A calligraphic painting style. A shounen action style. A simplistic webtoon style.

A watercolor style. An epically realistic and detailed style. An ugly childhood doodle style. The experiments and shifts with brushwork and shading techniques are almost constant. It's definitely impressive and it keeps the artwork fresh and difficult to predict, though that being said, the lack of relention with the changes can be a bit of a headache. I'm still going to rate the art as a 10/10, but I want to be clear that I think the artist went a bit too far. In chapter three, there are several quick consecutive scene changes as the story tried to find something to grasp onto.

It seems that the trajectory it's landed on is to have new potential love interests show up in succession and get into fights with Rin. I don't care for Myuutaro's whole backstory or the harem plot that will presumably unfold because of it. I honestly think I would've preferred if Myuutaro remained as the only mutant with sentience (basically like before the ending of chapter 4) and if the story had gone in an entirely different route.

The comedy might've felt fresher and the story wouldn't have gotten bogged down with all these pointless things. But we'll see how things progress from here. Maybe it'll turn it around.

{INSERTKEYS} [Originally reviewed at chapter 10] [Updated upon completion] Addendum: The entire story is kinda about virginal overexcitement, poking fun at it and also using it as a source of relatability for a readership which likely filled with people who likewise grow spikes at the slightest touch of someone from the opposite sex. I wouldn't say that that theme is the appeal of the manga though.

I think the appeal is seeing all the various transformations from the various mutants and just reveling in the beautiful character designs.

It does suffer from gag-manga style changes in focus. I mentioned a few of these earlier, but there's also another abrupt trajectory change in chapter 17 and even the ending itself is just thrown on us pretty abruptly (and in a way which honestly isn't very satisfying, but whatever). Original Web Comic Chapter 19 was drawn by Maki, the author, themselves. I have follow this manga since it first translated. This manga is epitome of comedy you doesn't realize that you needed.

The randomness is only spice futher the comedy. But then this manga got axed, although after a while and reviewing the series, it's not that surprising while it's such a shame at same time.

While 19 chapter is short and was in the introduction phase, too many thing got glossed over or the setup suddenly forgotten or no longer matter in the next chapter, almost like the author clashing with their editor. I hope the author has another chance to write another series as I probably would gladly read that.EditSynopsis After a nuclear war, most of humanity was destroyed and the world is now in ruins.

I can only describe it as a gag manga with insanely good art. The mutant/creature designs are top notch, and feel like something right out of Abara or Chainsawman. The humans and setting also take use of the post apocalyptic aesthetic really well. There's also oc some romance, action, and ecchi.

Story and chars are alright so far, nothing special. And.yeah that's about all I can mutant wa ningen no kanojo to kisu ga shitai about it lol. Come for the absurd premise and storyline, maybe stay for the absolutely raw art. Overall 5 Story 4 Art 8 Character 6 Enjoyment 6 It's very silly, and seems to be developing into a bit of a harem rom-com; which definitely isn't my cup of tea.

That being said, it has some really good art, and the gags have been pretty good so far. The setting is very undeveloped at the moment, with only very little background being given.

So it's very light-hearted and very obviously more focused on the comedy than anything else. It has a bit of fan-service, but it hasn't gotten out of hand yet.

Although it has been getting progressively worse.
