They’ve not only turned up the volume, but they’ve blown out their Dixie horn, stoked up the skid mat, churned out a few figure eights and pretty much left everyone in their dust! They xlim pod the brand to look at right now, and there’s no denying it, it’s well deserved.

In their first year as manufacturers they’ve released some of the more not only memorable devices, but some excellent performing ones at that.

Well, this time around, they’ve turned their focus to MTL vapers. Today’s product is the kind xlim pod device you can slip in a pocket anywhere, and be guaranteed a good vape, even from this low wattage, tiny, Pod kit.

Let’s take a look at the OXVA XLIM Pod! Not dissimilar to the famous Uwell Caliburn, the XLIM improves on the former, with an auto-draw as well as button fire, adjustable wattage, TFT display, a maximum 25 Watts of power, 900mah internal battery, USB Type C charging, and adjustable airflow.

The Body • • • • The XLIM pod has a very familiar form factor, borrowing it’s styling from a tonne of already available devices in the market, like the Caliburn, Potento, XROS and more. Measuring in at a small 14* 24* 111mm, xlim pod XLIM is slim enough to slip into your pocket and forget it’s even there.

It’s the perfect size and shape for a stealth device, for carrying out and about with you wherever you need to go. Made from what I assume is an aluminium alloy, the XLIM is really lightweight, with a finish that is not quite smooth, yet very durable and feels nice in the hand.

It is your typical pen style pod device with a pod recess up top, charging port on the base, and a single button with screen on the front face. While the XLIM does fit in the same category as most other stick pods, OXVA have gone the extra mile to include a few things most don’t. Xlim pod many Pod devices don’t have a screen, the XLIM does, similarly, it also has adjustable wattage, and adjustable airflow too, which are both excellent additions.

The POD + Coils • • • You’ll get x2 different pods in the XLIM kit.

Both are disposable pods, with inbuilt coils that cannot be changed. I’m a little on the fence about this with many pods these days. A removable coil is a wonderful feature, but is also an extra level of complexity for new users that this device is likely aimed at.

The Pods are made from a clear PCTG plastic, and can carry up to 2mls of e-liquid. Up top is a black cap, which is removable in order to expose the top fill port, which I’ll show you further down. The mouth piece style isn’t anything new, and they stay in place via 2 fairly strong magnets in the base, that will snap together as you insert it. I think OXVA have done a very good job here, I can always see my e-liquid xlim pod, there’s not dramas xlim pod or changing the Pods out, and they provide a lovely vape, throughout the entire airflow adjustment, and wattage adjustment range.

You’re pods in the box will be 2 different resistances, both will output a similar airflow, with one providing a lower wattage, and cooler vape, while the other is a little warmer and higher output: • 0.8Ω KA1 mesh coil(12-16W) This coil is for those who require a little xlim pod power, and like a slightly warmer vape.

I’ve been running mine at around 14 watts, with the airflow both completely closed and completely open to test both ends of the spectrum, and this pod has performed wonderfully, with excellent flavour, and nice dense vape.

• 1.2Ω KA1 mesh xlim pod This one caters more for those lower wattage “mouth to lung” style vapers, who like their vaping to be a little cooler.

I initially thought that this one might close the airflow down a little more than the 0.8ohm pod, but it doesn’t, it in fact provides a pretty similar airflow throughput than it’s sibling. I can’t complain here, as this pod also performs excellently with great flavour, it’s just a little cooler than xlim pod other.

Airflow • • Adjustable airflow, how great is it! You often won’t find airflow adjustment on a pod device, but OXVA have not only included it, but provided a really good, reliable way to deliver it. You might be familiar with the sliding airflow that you find on the side of the XLIM. Voopoo have a similar implementation on one of their pod devices, as do Smok, so it’s not unique to the XLIM. OXVA have however done a great job on getting those airflow slots to a nice size in order to give a really smooth transition across the airflow range.

The 3 slots in the airflow, will allow you to travel from an almost completely closed airflow, right through to a really open airflow on the widest setting. Hint** If you close it all the way down, you’ll end up with a wicked tight MTL airflow similar to the Advken Potento, which should be plenty to satisfy even the pickiest MTL vapers.

Filling • • • Filling the XLIM is super simple once you manage to get the top cap removed, and expose the fill port. You’ll likely have used a pod device with one of those caps that snap of or twist off to reveal a fill port underneath, similar to the original Xlim pod and many others. Well, the XLIM is like that but at the same time puts it’s own spin on things, of which I’m not quite entirely convinced is the greatest of ideas.

Instead of pushing up on one side of the black cap, you’ll notice some indents on the side edges of the clear plastic, you have to kind of push your finger nail into that spot and lift the cap up from one side. It’s not intuitive, but once you’ve done it once or twice it’s easy, and makes sure the cap doesn’t just come off when you ‘don’t’ want it to. It can be a pain at first though. Anyway, once you’ve gotten the black mouthpiece off, you can fill using the provided fill port, just like the photo above.

There is an air vent on the other side too, to avoid any blowback or pressure issues, making sure you can fill these pods pretty quickly. Battery • OXVA have been pretty generous and provided us with a 900mah battery in the XLIM.

This is a pretty big battery compared to other Pod systems on the market, and will make sure you get a full day of vaping out of either of the Pods you choose. Top marks for that. The charging port is found on the bottom of the XLIM and it’s of course a newer USB Type C port. You’ll xlim pod able to charge this baby pretty quickly due to it having 1Amp charging. I’ve not had to charge from empty to full, since the charge lasts so long, but I’m estimating that it takes about an hour to charge completely.

Any Leaks? • I haven’t had any leaks at all with the XLIM, I have had the usual condensation under the Pod, but a little wipe with tissue cleans this up periodically. If you are storing the device and not using it for a few days, I recommend removing the Pod first, just in case there is any seepage from oversaturated wicks, just like you would for any other device. Usage & Features • • There’s not a lot going on in the XLIM besides the usual user protections, and adjustable wattage.

It uses a single button system for everything and adjusting things is quite simple. The screen is an OLED screen and is quite bright and clear, it’s very easy to read which is awesome, and shows you all of the information you might need, including, Wattage, Battery indicator, resistance, and puff counter.

Wattage is limited depending on which pod you are using, the 0.8ohm Pod will hit a top wattage of 18 Watts, and the 1.2ohm Pod a limit of 13 Watts.

Here’s how you operate the XLIM: • 5x clicks on/off (also resets puff counter) • 3x clicks to adjust wattage mode • then adjust wattage upward via the same button in 0.5ohm increments • to set the wattage just leave it for a few seconds and it will lock in. Pros: • Great build quality • Small slim size • Excellent battery size and battery life • Excellent flavour • Adjustable airflow • Adjustable wattage • Offers a nice tight MTL draw Cons: • Disposable Pods • Top cap can be difficult to remove for filling Where to Buy: You can buy the OXVA XLIM direct through the OXVA online store for around the $30 USD mark, which is not a bad price for what you get, additional Pods will set you back around $12 USD for a pack of 3.

Buy the OXVA XLIM Pod now! Conclusion OXVA don’t muck around, and the XLIM is just another of their devices that proves that they like to get things right before releasing a product. I couldn’t pick on any one thing that let’s it down to be honest, it really is well finished product. The XLIM is a great little stick pod device that not only allows users to adjust their vaping experience via the adjustable airflow and adjustable wattage, but gives them the choice between auto-draw (inhale to fire) or button-draw too.

Perhaps the top Pod cap being a little difficult to remove is a con, but you also get used to removing it after a few times too.

So is that really a con? The Pods are excellent and the coils have great flavour, the airflow adjustment range is really good, you’ve got USB Type-C 1Amp charging, a 900mah battery to last you all day, a screen to check on your settings, and it’s a perfect size for popping in your pocket on your way out of the house. This little device not only does it’s job, but does it really well.
