The digital currency trading platform Coinbase is producing a three-part film series with the popular non-fungible token (NFT) project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). The films will be crafted by Coinbase Entertainment and feature ape nft BAYC NFT characters that will be crowdsourced from the Bored Ape NFT community. Coinbase Entertainment Is Working on a Three-Part Film Series That Will Feature Crowdsourced Bored Apes On April 11, Coinbase announced it has plans to release a film trilogy dedicated to the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection.
A ape nft stemming from one37pm.com indicates that the crypto exchange is “celebrating and amplifying the BAYC community” via the film trilogy. Coinbase confirmed the films on Twitter after publishing a teaser tweet that said something was coming. A few hours later, Coinbase tweeted again and said: Definitely something. We’re creating an interactive three-part film featuring the [Bored Ape Yacht Club] & Apecoin communities. Come build with us [at] degentrilogy.com.
Ape nft one37pm.com announcement written by Charlie Kolbrener explains that Bored Ape owners can submit their Bored Ape NFTs to the web portal degentrilogy.com and if chosen, the Bored Apes will be featured in the three-part film adventure that also features the Apecoin project. “At Coinbase, we are dedicated to creating and supporting content projects that speak directly to our community and sustaining the culture of Web3 innovation,” Coinbase Ape nft and culture marketing director William Swann said in a statement.
Swann added: As we aim to bring the next billion people into the crypto ape nft, we firmly believe that this interactive film series will act as a catalyst to serve that mission and help audiences understand the collaborative nature of Web3. We’ve been inspired by the Bored Ape Yacht Club community and [we are] excited to invite them to co-create this film with us.
Yuga Labs CEO Says the Film Trilogy Is a ‘Breakthrough Project’ for NFTs On Twitter, Coinbase said people can help make the movie by connecting their wallet, submitting a Bored Ape, and “hide an easter egg.” The move with BAYC is taking place before the company gets ready to launch the upcoming Coinbase NFT Market.
In mid-January, the exchange partnered with Mastercard to bolster the NFT marketplace. Through the deal, Mastercard credit and debit card users will be able to pay for non-fungible token assets via the Coinbase NFT marketplace. Nicole Muniz, the CEO of Yuga Labs, the company that created the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT project, said the film trilogy with Coinbase is a pioneering step for NFTs and entertainment.
“We’re seeing how NFTs are evolving to be vehicles of access and participation in networks, games, merchandise, and now interactive entertainment,” Muniz explained during the announcement on Monday. This is a breakthrough project and we’re excited to see how this shapes the future of Web3 for all communities,” the Yuga Labs CEO added.

“They kept telling me: ‘Hey, this space is built for you. It makes sense. It’s about community and marketing,’” Nguyen tells Input. He didn’t pay them much heed. At the time, he was busy opening restaurants. Nguyen has launched at a number of food brands, including Afters Ice Cream, which has nearly 30 outlets across Southern Ape nft and Las Vegas.
“I didn’t really understand what NFTs were,” he admits. But he eventually came round to the idea. A break in his busy schedule coincided with a recognition of the challenges the restaurant industry is facing.
“It’s really struggling to hire people,” he says. “The pay is rough. Food costs are increasing.” So he looked again at NFTs. “I found a void where I figured out it might help save the restaurant industry,” he says, although he doesn’t offer much in the way of specifics. By December 2021, he had started developing his new idea, which will launch April 9 as a 90-day pop-up in Long Beach, California: an NFT-backed fast food outlet called Bored & Hungry.
The burger joint layers Bored Ape Yacht Club branding on top of two pre-existing businesses: Trill Burgers, which he owns, and a partner, Beleaf Burgers, a vegan food company. Nguyen has spent nearly $387,000 on one Bored Ape and two Mutant Apes that will adorn the burger boxes, fry holders, and soft drink cups at Bored & Hungry. He hopes to accept payment for meals in crypto, with discounts offered initially to those who own a Bored Ape NFT.
Bored & Hungry is one of a handful of planned restaurants — including some high-end establishments — that will incorporate NFTs in an attempt to capture the zeitgeist. Key among them is Flyfish Club, a members-only restaurant set to launch in Ape nft York in the second quarter of 2023.
You’ll have to own a token to get into the seafood eatery, the brainchild of tech impresario Gary Vaynerchuk. Flyfish’s January token release raised $14 million. The smart contract associated with the NFTs includes a provision that Flyfish Club gets 10 percent of all resales — which has netted the group an additional $2.3 million, according to one of the co-founders, David Rodolitz.
“The financial model is different than a regular restaurant,” Rodolitz says. “You have a product sale and minting of the NFT, then you have ongoing royalties.” Flyfish Club Elsewhere in New York, the steakhouse Brooklyn Chop House has plans to open a second location that will include a dining room accessible only to those who own a non-fungible membership, which starts at around $8,000.
(Stratis Morfogen, the restaurant’s Director of Operations, was on vacation and unable to speak to Input for this story.) Meanwhile, entertainment brand Superplastic, which has minted a range of NFTs, has announced that it will soon launch “an extremely lavish and totally fucked up sushi restaurant in the heart of Wynwood in Miami.” The website copy continues: “ Jankyverse accomplices get special access to a secret menu and exclusive offerings ape nft toys & delicious apparel.” (Superplastic reps declined to speak for this piece.) IRL experience Nguyen says it was a no-brainer to deploy the Bored Ape branding for a restaurant concept.
“Everyone that understands pop culture in the entire world pretty much knows what a Bored Ape is,” he says. “What we’re doing is giving back to the Web3 community, getting an in-real-life experience for them,” Nguyen adds. “But also for people that are skeptical — who love referring to NFTs as JPEGs — it shows them that we’re building up a business, a brand, and a new ecosystem out of the IP that we purchased.” By buying the Bored Ape nft NFTs, Nguyen has secured the rights to use them in whatever way he wants.
“The reason ape nft used the Bored Ape as an experiment is that it makes a large statement,” he says. “But it goes beyond Bored Apes. We can tap into other NFT products, team up with another company and work with their IP, developing concepts and their community.” Those entering the NFT dining space foresee a big, ongoing business. “Hopefully, after we execute and do a good job and create value for our partners and members, the idea is to do that in likeminded markets and cities that share a passion for food ape nft beverage, and innovation and creativity,” says Rodolitz.
“We plan on running that playbook back and doing it again in multiple, multiple cities.” Andy Nguyen Courtesy of Andy Nguyen The hope is that NFTs can reinvigorate a restaurant industry hit hard by the pandemic. Not everyone is convinced, however.
“This is a concept that is only likely going to work in places where there is a high level of internet meme knowledge, or as a marketing gimmick to draw in those who are part of ‘the club,’” says Catherine Flick, an academic from De Montfort University, U.K.
who is focusing on NFTs. “It will be interesting to see how the prospect of taking cryptocurrency payments works, though, given that the volatility of the market might mean that $20 paid for a burger today might only be worth $15 or less tomorrow,” Flick says. “That’s hard for businesses to plan around.” Despite the naysayers, those who have fully aped into the potential of Ape nft won’t be dissuaded. “I think a lot of people ape nft understanding the Web3 and NFT world is here,” says Nguyen, “and we definitely all believe it’s going to be the future.” One major challenge?
Taking payments in crypto. “We’re still trying to work those kinks out,” says Nguyen. “A lot of this hasn’t been done before, but we’re trying to be the ones that are leading the way. At the same time, we’re trying to figure out that we’re not doing anything illegal.”

In brief • A Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT sold for 115 DAI ($115) today, which is a fraction of the current going rate for the collection.
• Some believe that the seller thought the offer was in ETH instead of DAI, or that it could be part of a tax evasion scheme. We are increasingly used to seeing NFTs sell for sizable sums, but sometimes it’s the bargain ape nft sales for in-demand NFTs—particularly those well under the typical going rate—that really catch our attention.
And this Bored Ape Yacht Club example today is a true standout. Today, Bored Ape #835 sold for just 115 DAIand because DAI is a dollar-pegged stablecointhat amounts to just $115. But the Ethereum NFT project is one of the most popular and valuable collections on the market today, with the cheapest-available Bored Ape listed right now at 106.8 ETHor about $358,000.
Some have theorized on social media that the seller thought the offer was for 115 ETH (about $385,000 right now), rather than 115 DAI. That said, the NFT was sold on OpenSea, which lists the USD amount for each cryptocurrency right alongside. It would be difficult to miss. What makes this particular transaction extra suspicious is that the seller ( cchan.eth ) also sold a Ape nft Ape Yacht Club NFT (#11670) at the same time for 25 DAI ($25).
Again, that’s dramatically lower than the floor price or the cheapest available Mutant Ape on a marketplace, which is currently at 22.8 ETH (over $76,000). So while it’s possible that someone made a mistake and sold a pair of NFTs for at least $461,000 less than their market value, it could also be the result of some kind of exploit.
OpenSea recently dealt with an exploit regarding inactive marketplace listings that had not automatically expired, and doled out millions of dollars to ape nft victims.
In another recent situation, OpenSea blamed an external phishing attack when users saw NFTs in their respective wallets sold without their express permission. Both issues were ultimately resolved. Some have also speculated ape nft these Bored Ape and Mutant Ape NFT sales are part of some kind of tax loss harvesting scheme or tax evasion attempt, as noted NFT collector Artchick suggested on Twitter .
feels more like a tax evasion attempt, they sold their mutant for $25 to the same wallet they'll probably claim they were scammed and may even have the audacity to try to write it off, they bought the ape for 16eth if it was a mistake, i wish them well, it's quite a loss pic.twitter.com/lOvpZaaC9Y — artchick.eth 🔥👠 (@digitalartchick) March 28, 2022 Tax loss harvesting is when someone sells an NFT for well under the purchase price to help offset other capital gains.
If the person who sold the Ape NFTs also controls the unlabeled buyer’s wallethowever, ape nft they theoretically would only be spending the transaction fees to try and obscure a tax liability. As of this writing, Decrypt is not aware of anyone claiming to have been on either side of these NFT sales, nor is it currently clear who is behind either wallet. Whoever did buy the Apes, however, quickly redeemed the free ApeCoin (APE) token allotments provided to Bored Ape and Mutant Ape holders.
All told, the buyer received ape nft APE, worth about $181,000 as of this writing.

Investors in any market — and in particular the crypto market — are always on watch for the next big thing.
Today, the launch of ApeCoin ( APE-USD) has driven a tremendous amount of interest in this space. In particular, investors are looking closely at ApeCoin price predictions, given today’s price action.
Source: shutterstock.com/bang ipung The launch of APE this morning saw the token near the $40 level. At the time of writing, though, the token’s value has imploded. It now trades around the $7.50 level this afternoon. That said, CoinMarketCap notes that early investors have still booked gains of 650%-plus. As InvestorPlace’s Brenden Rearick points out, this launch gained a lot of attention for various reasons.
Most notably, the project was not launched by Yuga Labs, the parent company behind popular non-fungible token (NFT) projects such as the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Instead, it was launched by the ApeCoin DAO, a decentralize autonomous organization that “seeks to decentralize the Bored Ape brand.” Today, ape nft who have seen the price surges in some Bored Ape NFTs may have been inclined to jump aboard the APE train.
After all, success often breeds success.
Now, various top exchanges such as Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) have already allowed trading for this token. As such, this isn’t some illiquid name that’s seeing incredible price action. That said, where APE could be headed next is what investors are likely more interested in. So, let’s see what the experts think. ApeCoin Price Predictions Currently, APE trades at $7.65 per token at the time of this writing.
• To start, WalletInvestor provides a rather bearish $0.002 one-year price target for the APE token. • DigitalCoinPrice gives 2023, 2025 and 2028 price targets of 9 cents, 12 cents and ape nft cents, respectively. • Finally, PricePrediction suggests ApeCoin could hit 41 cents in 2023, 80 cents in 2025 and $2.33 in 2028.
