Dr. Ghali And do not abuse the ones whom they invoke apart from Allah, (or) then they would abuse Allah aggressively without knowledge. Thus We have adorned (i.e., made attractive) to every nation their deed (s); thereafter to their Lord will be their return; so He will fully inform them of whatever they were doing.

Ala-Maududi (6:108) Do not revile those whom they invoke other than Allah, because they will revile Allah in ignorance out of spite. [72] For We have indeed made the deeds of every people seem fair to them. [73] Tlen, their return is to their Lord and He will inform them of what they have done.

72. The Prophet (peace be on him) and his followers are admonished not to allow their proselytizing zeal to dominate them so that their polemics and controversial religious discussions either lead them to be offensive to the beliefs of non-Muslims al anam 108 to abuse their religious leaders and deities.

Far from bringing people closer to the Truth, such an attitude is likely to alienate them from it further. 73. Here we should bear in mind, as we have pointed out earlier, that God declares those things which take place as a result of the operation of the laws of nature to be His own acts, for it is He Who has rnade those laws. Whatever results from the operation of those laws, al anam 108, results from His command. Whenever God states that a certain act was His, the same might be described by humans as occurring in the natural course of things.

The Prohibition of Insulting the False gods of the Disbelievers, So that they Do not Insult Allah Allah prohibits His Messenger and the believers from insulting the false deities of the idolators, although there is a clear benefit in doing so. Insulting their deities will lead to a bigger evil than its benefit, for the idolators might retaliate by insulting the God of the believers, Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He. `Ali bin Abi Talhah said that Ibn `Abbas commented on this Ayah ﴿6:108﴾; “They (disbelievers) said, `O Muhammad!

You will stop insulting our gods, or we will insult your Lord.’ Thereafter, Allah prohibited the believers from insulting the disbelievers’ idols, ﴿فَيَسُبُّواْ اللَّهَ عَدْواً بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ﴾ (lest they insult Allah wrongfully without knowledge.)” `Abdur-Razzaq narrated that Ma`mar said that Qatadah said, “Muslims used to insult the idols of the disbelievers and the disbelievers would retaliate by insulting Allah wrongfully without knowledge.

Allah revealed, ﴿كَذَلِكَ al anam 108 لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ﴾ (Thus We have made fair seeming to each people its own doings;) means, as We made fair seeming to the idolators loving their idols and defending them, likewise We made fair seeming to every previous nation the misguidance they indulged in. Allah’s is the most perfect proof, and the most complete wisdom in all that He wills and chooses.

Sebagaimana kami menjadikan mereka memandang baik perbuatan-perbuatan buruk mereka sebagai hukuman atas buruknya pilihan mereka, kami pun menjadikan tiap-tiap umat manusia memandang baik perbuatan mereka.

Insulting their deities will lead to a bigger evil than its benefit, for the idolators might retaliate by insulting the God of the believers, Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but He. `Ali bin Abi Talhah said that Ibn `Abbas commented on this Ayah 6:108; "They (disbelievers) said, `O Muhammad!

You al anam 108 stop insulting our gods, or we will insult your Lord.' (Thus We have made fair seeming to each people its own doings;) means, as We made fair seeming to the idolators loving their idols al anam 108 defending them, likewise We made fair seeming to every previous nation the misguidance they indulged in. Allah's is the most perfect proof, and the most complete wisdom in al anam 108 that He wills and chooses.
