Sharon Wong is founder and CEO of Motherswork, where she serves as its Creative Director.

She aims to help make the journey into motherhood easier, and empower mothers to keep their children safe and happy, while balancing career and quality time. To do so, she started Motherswork as a one-stop retail partner for women as they journey through motherhood, from the moment they discover their pregnancies, to holding their babies for the first time to when they send their children off to school… and all the little adventures in between.

As an entrepreneur and a mother, Sharon is an avid advocate for the empowerment of women on their journey to be the mother they strive to be, as well as their life as entrepreneurs. “Be the mother you want to be” is her motto. An avid supporter of female entrepreneurs, she actively mentors women who are passionate about being their own boss, and willing to put in the work needed to make it a reality.

Sharon is also a mentor for the CRIB Society, a social enterprise that supports women’s entrepreneurial work; and Design Orchard, an integrated retail and incubation space sharon wong puts Singapore’s designers and their creative pieces in the limelight. In addition, she is a founding member of the Maternal and Infant Trade Association of Singapore (MITAS), supporting Singaporean entrepreneurs in the mother and baby industry. Prior to being an entrepreneur, Sharon was Regional Tax and Treasury Director at an American multi-national company, and was trained in Australia at Coopers & Lybrand, then sharon wong of the Big Four accounting firms. In this capacity, she leads strategic recruitment, and diversity and inclusion management for the third largest Department in the Federal government, covering nearly 200,000 employees located throughout the country and around the world. Prior to this role, Sharon served as the Deputy Director (and Acting Director) for OPM's Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI), the office that leads and manages the government-wide diversity and inclusion effort.

As the Deputy Director for ODI, she was responsible for D&I policy initiatives, coordinating with the 60+ Federal agencies that submitted D&I Strategic Plans to provide technical assistance on implementing D&I strategies and goals, creating and sustaining D&I Councils and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and developing and executing the Diversity & Inclusion Dialogue Program to improve the Inclusion Quotient (New IQ) of agencies. She also coordinated with the National Affinity Groups to build strategic relationships for outreach and collaboration, and improve the representation of diverse communities.

Ms. Wong came to OPM in September 2011, after serving as the D&I Officer at NASA/GSFC, where she led the D&I efforts since the program inception in 2000, leaving NASA/GSFC with a #2 ranking for Diversity (out of 220+ agencies) in the Best Places to Work in Government, as well as a detail to NASA HQ to standup the NASA D&I program.
