Because these explanations include some terms newer players may be unfamiliar with, look at the Terminology page if needed. Smokey Smokey has access to Teleport through her active skill, and it also resets all non-red tiles.

As a tile-resetter, this makes her a bit lackluster as a converter, but the mobility from Teleport is still a valuable utility. As well, her damage isn't bad, so she works well as a flex-slot character. Uriel As another tile-resetter type converter, Uriel is already on alchemy stars tier list lower end of Fire Converters. On the other hand, Uriel does have access to Burn, but she will still likely need to be supplemented by other characters that also have it. All-in-all, you'll probably find yourself wanting another converter with consistent tile output over Uriel.

Genevieve Genevieve has access to a limited Teleport (in an L-shape), but its advantage is that it is easy to spam with a low Cooldown, and can be used one more time per round after hitting an enemy with it. Her Equipment Skill also provides a little healing, as well as buffing Fire Aurorians. While Genevieve seems like she can do a lot, the downside is that she sacrifices damage for it, and what she does do, other characters can do better.

Maggie Maggie is a Cross Converter (converts tiles in a cross pattern from the point where it is used), which means that Maggie struggles without BT2 or or MBT. BT2 will decrease her Cooldown by 1, and MBT will give her pre-emptive strike. With these Breakthroughs, her rank and viability increases.

That said, if you're early-game and don't have access to other converters (such as Beverly or Gronru, she can still definitely be used even without Breakthroughs. Tiny One Tiny One has access to pre-emptive strike through her MBT, which as a 3-star makes it immediately accessible as it only requires Heartstones.

This allows her to select one tile to convert to red every two turns. A decent unit to use until you get better Converters, and otherwise still flexible because of the free tile placement. Detonator Aurorian Explanation Charon Charon's Active Skill can do damage over a wide range and also has Knockback (or Pull, depending on the direction).

His Active Skill will also reset all non-red tiles under its area of effect. BT3 will also give him Pre-emptive Strike. He does also have the ability to ignore 10% of enemy defense through his Equipment Skill, but it doesn't make too much of a difference. Also, Rouge can currently pull things that should not be pulled (like Phorosion's walls or Nozard) which is hilarious and should really promote her to S-Tier on that basis alone.

Taki Taki does decent damage, and additionally gets minor conversion abilities on the selected tile for his Active Skill. He doesn't have additional utility other than that. Despite having "Burn Marks" (through his Active and Equipment Skill), note that these are separate from the Burn mechanic, and they are not Damage over Time (DoT). Patty & Patsy Patty & Patsy have good Chain Combo damage (due to their Equipment Skill) but lackluster Active Skill damage.

Unfortunately, their base attack isn't great, and their Alchemy stars tier list Skill is awkward to set up, curbing their potential as a good Detonator for players that don't have access to better Detonators yet. Frostfire Frostfire is the weakest of the Old Seal characters, and should likely be the one you recruit last.

Her Active Skill is really lackluster, and she's very dependent on her Chain Combo. She's more oriented for killing multiple weker enemies rather than bosses, but often it's just worth it to use another character instead. Jona Jona's Active Skill buffs her Normal Attack and Chain Combo damage, and reduces Chain Combo-triggering tile count for other Fire Aurorians in the team for two turns.

This also gives her access to Splash damage. BT3 gives her pre-emptive strike which increases her rank, but she's otherwise an underwhelming unit. Chandra Chandra has an Active Skill that gets stronger after each cast and gets reset after killing an enemy, allowing you to spam it repeatedly when possible. This does require some setup with her Equipment Skill to get as many stacks as possible first.

As a result, she's a bit of a niche unit, but she's highly recommended for farming Nightium in the Resource Raid because of her skills.

Leona Leona has access to Burn through her Equipment Skill, and does decent damage to enemies despite being a Sniper. Her Chain Combo damage is unfortunately reliant on enemies having Burn stacks, so you will probably want another character who can apply Burn in the team to supplement that—or you'll just have to rely heavily on getting in a lot of Normal Attacks to continue to apply Burn.

Victoria Victoria has a defense-ignoring Active Skill and also has access to a Damage over Time (DoT) mechanic, Bleeding through her Chain Combo.

Victoria can also Heal through her Chain Combo (if an enemy has Bleeding alchemy stars tier list and Active Skill. Because of her defense-ignoring Active Skill, Victoria is also able to deal decent damage to enemies. Barbara Barbara has access to crazy damage through her Active Skill despite being a support, with it being a map-wide AoE and also having a chance to Stun enemies that are on red tiles.

Unfortunately, this low chance and the set-up required for enemies to be on red tiles does make her usage of stun a bit more unreliable, but it's still nice to have. Additionally, her Equipment Skill gives team members a buff against enemies on red tiles, as well—but this has the same caveat of it being a little awkward to set up.

Unfortunately, Barbara also suffers from having a high Cooldown (5) on her active skill. BT2 decreases it to 4, and Alchemy stars tier list gives her pre-emptive strike. Kleken and Faust have one of the best patterns and while Beverly has a worse one than them its still better than Pact’s. Please feel free to make suggestions or corrections in the comments to help keep this list as accurate as possible.

Note: These explanations require some knowledge about the terminology in Alchemy Stars, so players unfamiliar with that should see the Terminology page for reference if they are confused. Each section is organized so it groups Aurorians by class, so it has Detonators, Converters, Snipers, and then Supports.
