Earlier this year, developer MiHoYo added the biggest content update yet by adding the Japan-inspired landmass of Inazuma.

In addition to new characters such as Ayaka as well as raimei angelfish new story line to play through, Inazuma was intended for more experienced players as the new content requires Adventure Rank 30 or above. Just recently, the 2.1 update arrived in Genshin Impact and while it added even more characters like the Raiden Shogun, equipment, new locations, and the Moonchase Festival event, players have already seemingly grown attached to the fishing minigame. While the activity is meant to be relaxing and offer players a break from the exploration and combat, fishing in Genshin Impact actually offers players numerous rewards for catching certain types.

RELATED: Genshin Impact Reveals Four New Weapons from Update 2.1 In fact, one of the best items that can be gained from fishing is a polearm known as The Catch. However, acquiring the weapon will involve finding very specific fish including the Raimei Angelfish. Here's where players can find that elusive fish.

Raimei Angelfish Location Unlike the other required fish needed for The Catch, the Raimei Angelfish can only be found in one spot. Players will want to head to a shipwreck located directly south of the island that houses the Kujou Encampment.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that these fish only spawn in the game world between the hours of 18:00 and 6:00. Going there outside of these hours will leave players empty handed. Bait to Use In addition to checking the in-game time, players will also need to bring the False Worm bait. Thankfully, earning this bait isn't too difficult as the blueprint for it can be earned at the Fishing Association in Mondstadt. Essentially, speak to the representative there and trade them three Medeka fish, which can be found in nearly every fishing location.

Total Raimei Angelfish Needed for The Catch With the correct bait and time, players will be able to snag the ellusive Raimei Angelfish inside of Genshin Impact. To initially unlock The Catch, players will need to fish up six Raimei Angelfish, along with the other 20 Golden Koi and 20 Rusty Koi. The polearm weapon is a great weapon for characters like Zhongli, Xingliang, and the newly released Raiden Shogun, especially for those who don't have access to the 5-star Engulfing Lightning Polearm.

However, the 6 Raimei Angelfish isn't the end. In order to refine The Catch, players will need an additional three each time. Refining weapons generally makes them stronger, in this case increasing the elemental burst damage and critical rate on the weapon. With six refinement levels, players will need to have 18 Raimei Angelfish in total. Genshin Impact is free-to-play on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, and a Switch version is in development.

This quest requires players to be at least Adventure Rank 28. RELATED: Genshin Impact: Amakumo Fruit Locations There are various types of fishes players can collect. One of them is the Raimei Angelfish. Raimei Angelfish is highly sought after because they're required to obtain "The Catch," a brand new Polearm raimei angelfish perfect for support characters like Xiangling and Raiden Shogun.

This weapon can be bought by talking to Kujirai Momiji near Inazuma City. Raimei Angelfish Location in Genshin Impact Raimei Angelfish is only available in one fishing spot. Players can find it by going to the shipwreck east of Tatarasuna.

There, players will find some enemies – two Large Cryo Slimes and one Electro Abyss Mage – they need to defeat before they can fish in peace. After clearing out the area, players can start fishing.

If players do not have False Worm baits, then they can speak to Nantuck in Mondstadt. Nantuck sells the blueprints for the bait in exchange for three Medaka fishes. Afterward, the bait can be crafted by using one Slime Condensate + one Berry. Each craft will yield 10 baits. Unlike Raimei Angelfish, Medaka responds to Fruit Paste bait. This is the first bait players use in the fishing quest.

However, if players run out of it, they don't have to worry.

The crafting recipe for this bait does not require blueprints from Nantuck. They will automatically be available and can be accessed via the Crafting Table.

Medaka is also a common fish, so it can be found in a lot of ripple spots. Getting the blueprint should be trivial. "The Catch" requires six Raimei Angelfish to get.

These fish will respawn after a few days, so players should try to get them as early as possible. Travelers can also fish in other people's worlds to stack the materials faster. To get The Catch polearm in Genshin Impact, you need a whole bunch of fish, including Medaka Golden Koi, Rusty Koi and Raimei Angelfish.

Here's what you need to know to wrangle some Raimei Angelfish efficiently. Genshin Impact Raimei Angelfish locations guide © miHoYo The most important thing to know about the Raimei Angelfish is that they're a pretty rare animal in the Genshin Impact ecosystem. They're definitely the rarest of the fish you can catch. They only spawn at night in-game, in one particular spot.

You'll need to look for them when they spawn between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. in the game itself. Additionally, you'll need to load up on False Worm Bait to lure it into your clutches. © miHoYo Currently, you can only find Raimei Angelfish at a fishing spot in the Inazuma region. To find it, you'll need to head east of the Kujou Encampment/Tatarasuna. The easiest way to do this is to use the teleporter that has the Waverider waypoint to the east.

You should see a shipwreck here, but note that there are several enemies here as well. You'll need to find solid ground to take them down, so stick to the area around the mast while fighting. Once you've taken care of the enemies, change the in-game clock to the 6 p.m. window so the Angelfish will spawn. Ramei Angelfish only spawn three at a time, once every three days, so it will likely take a while to gather the original six you'll need to craft Raimei angelfish Catch, plus the additional ones needed to fully upgrade it.

Because of their rarity and relatively low spawn rate, be sure you're fishing carefully, otherwise the Angelfish might escape and you'll have to wait even longer.
