Madagascar During Marty's birthday, Gloria was another animal residing in the Central Park Zoo and she was one of the many attractions, drawing crowds that enjoyed seeing her swim about in her water tank.

She would also receive the star treatment as one of the zoo's main attractions and attend Marty’s birthday party. At the party, Marty announced his wish upon blowing out the candles on his cake: to go to the wild. Gloria, Alex and Melman tried to have Marty come to his senses by telling him that life out in the wilds was madly madagascar and difficult, whereas life in madly madagascar zoos was adequate. Marty was unhappy at hearing this and Gloria told Alex to go and console Marty. Later that night, however, Marty acted out his wish and headed straight for the Terminal Station so as to take a train and go to Connecticut, where Marty heard that wide-open spaces were found.

Gloria urged both Alex and Melman to come with her so as to madly madagascar Marty and bring him back before any people would notice. They were found, regardless, alongside Mason and Phil, the two chimps; and a troupe of secretive penguins, all ending up tranquilized with darts. When they all woke, they found themselves in crates bound for Africa. When madly madagascar penguins hijack the ship, the crates fall into the ocean and wash up on the island of Madagascar.

After some confusion, they start to set up their own society and attract the attention of a lemur colony. Merry Madagascar Gloria is happy to help her friends save Christmas, and shows her usual amount of enthusiasm throughout the special, even when helping Melman out of various situations. It is also shown (perhaps guessed) that she loves children, as when the girl named Abby hugs her friends, and then her, Gloria hugs her back.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa On the flight home, Gloria expresses a desire to join the zoo breeding program, in the hopes of finding a boyfriend. When the animals crash land in Africa, she attracts the attention of a hippo named Moto Moto (meaning "Hot Hot" in Swahili).

Though she thinks he is the ideal boyfriend at first, she realizes that he only loves her because she is fat, while Melman loves her for who she is. After Melman tells Moto to treat Gloria right, she realizes that she loves Melman back, and convinces him not to sacrifice himself into the volcano. Just as he is about to fall into the volcano, Gloria grabs him by the horn and says: "It's crazy to think that I had to go halfway around the world to find the perfect guy and he was right next door." and then joins the other animals in rescuing Alex and Zuba from Nana.

At the end of the film, Gloria ends up starting a relationship with Melman (who has found out that he's not dying after all). Madly Madagascar It's her first Valentine's Day with Melman and as such she's quite excited but when she wants to spend time with him, he's busy planning a surprise for her. During the day Gloria has many questions on her mind like if Melman is avoiding her and wondering where he is.

When she spots madly madagascar, Gloria thinks he's dumping her on Valentine's Day. But later, she finds his list of things for her surprise and tells him that all she wanted to know is that he was thinking about her. Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted Madly madagascar spending a year in Africa, the group decides that they've waited long enough and it's time to madly madagascar and find the penguins.

When they reach Monte Carlo, the group runs into misfortune when they are spotted in the casino and are pursued by Chantel DuBois from animal control. They manage to escape her but crash the plane in the middle of some railroad tracks on the way. The group ends up hiding with Circus Zaragoza in order to stay out of the way of the law. They find out that this circus, if it puts on a good enough show in London, will earn a contract for an American tour, which means a stop in New York City.

They spend the penguins' winnings madly madagascar the circus. When the see that the circus is failing since Vitaly lost madly madagascar confidence, Gloria and her friends immediately begin fine-tuning the show in order to ensure that they get the contract.

This includes coming up with new acts for the show. Gloria decides that it would be a blast to do a dancing routine with Melman, only to find that he is unsure of himself in regard to his dancing abilities. It takes a pep-talk and a lesson on top of a tightrope for the couple to find their routine, dancing while on the tightrope! This act is one of several ends up getting the circus the contract. Sadly, they are also exposed as zoo animals and feeling guilty, they leave the circus on the way to New York.

When they finally reach New York City however, the gang finds out that the zoo is not exactly what they madly madagascar. Gloria is especially unhappy to find that there is a big wall madly madagascar her and Melman's enclosures. Reflecting back on their adventures in Madagascar, Africa, and Europe, the Zoosters realize that they are better off wild and free than left in cages, so they decide to go back to the circus.

Gloria and Melman are especially happy to join the show permanently because there's no better life than traveling the world with the one you love. Appearance Like every madly madagascar in the franchise, Gloria is fat, her skin is grey, but her belly is a little lighter than the rest of her body. Even as Hippos goes, Gloria is made apparent to be heavier than other female Hippos.

Infamously known, in the second movie, are Moto Moto's remarks at Gloria's «plumpiness», «chunkiness» etc. Gloria's upper body is substantially slimmer than her stomach and give her an pear-like shape.

Her chest is more prominent than the male hippos, she has an extremely wide and fat stomach, bouncing out and doubling her size. The stomach gives her an enormous diameter around her hefty and chunky hips, giving her unparalleled girth and weight. Further down she has a large, flabby, ski-sloped butt with a visible, long crack running down (which is not visible when she walks around or spreads her cheeks) and a lighter tan colour on the top of her giant, round butt cheeks.

(It is obvious that Gloria likes shaking her round rump, which she does numerous times in the movies) She also has a triangular belly button. A running gag is that her huge size and weight causes many problems, such as in the third movie where she stayed stuck in the pipe due to the big range of her hips and when she destroyed the glass ceiling by simply walking on it and she and her friends fell to the casino. Or in the second movie, where she has a seat stuck to her butt and cracked the stone cliff Melman stood on in during the volcano sacrifice.

Even in the first movie, the animals fall over the boat only when Gloria’s crate hit them as well, landing in the ocean because of the impact of her weight. She is also very beautiful. However, Mr. Ping believes Po is more concerned with his duties as the Dragon Warrior, and adamantly remains at his restaurant to feed the townsfolk who have nowhere else to eat for the holiday. Madly madagascar, Po tries to cook the banquet by himself, but is quickly overwhelmed by the various responsibilities that come with it, further complicated by the interference of Wo Hop ( Jack McBrayer), a rabbit chef he had accidentally madly madagascar earlier and is desperate to die at the hands of the Dragon Warrior to redeem his honor.

A comment from Wo Hop that "kung fu can't solve everything" inspires Po to enlist the Furious Five to complete the preparations for the feast while he has the madly madagascar Wo Hop help him in the kitchen. On the night of the Winter Feast, Po comes to realize that he should be with his father for the holiday and excuses himself before the masters to help Mr.

Ping prepare food for the townsfolk. Moved by Po's loyalty to his family, the Furious Five and the other masters participate in the festivities with the townsfolk.

Po is additionally able to restore Wo Hop's honor by presenting him with the Golden Ladle originally intended for the chef selected to cook for the masters' banquet. Shifu is initially mortified that everyone abandoned the feast, but upon seeing the merry time everyone is having at the noodle shop, he realizes Po did the right thing, creating a truly perfect event with his father. I loved all the Madagascar movies and their holiday specials. But I never pictured the Penguins or King Julian get their own show. They were great in the movies when they're interacting with Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria but the idea of them having their own show was a madly madagascar puzzling to me. The Penguins' show and movie was OK but I didn't feel the same comedy magic they had from the Madagascar movies. Definitely Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria deserve their own show because they are the heart of the franchise madly madagascar the idea of them being toddlers is a good idea because I want to see how their friendship started before the movies and the show is very cute and funny.

The child actor who plays Marty sounds just like Chris Rock but as a kid. They made some great casting choices. It's a fun show for Madagascar fans but the only thing I don't like is sometimes it'll have musical numbers. But it's still a great show.

Madagascar: A Little Wild Marty, along with his friends, makes a few small cameos. He, Alex, and Gloria are seen at the beginning decorating Melman's neck with Christmas lights. In the end, he, his friends, and almost all the other zoo animals are seen singing their own version of "Jingle Bells". Madagascar The movie opens on Marty's 10th birthday (middle-aged for a zebra). His friends try to give him a great birthday, but somehow, Marty wants more.

He escapes the Zoo, in which he lives, and makes a dash for the wild. His friends, Alex, Melman and Gloria flag him down, but as they're about to take him back to the zoo, police officers invade Grand Central, they tranquilize the madly madagascar, and send them on a ship to Kenya.

However, the penguins take over the ship and the four friends are washed up on the shores of Madagascar. Once on the island, the animals begin to panic except for Marty, who has had his dream fulfilled. Marty sets up a "bar" on the island, known as Casa del Wild (in English Home of the Wild). Alex is mad at Marty for getting them shipped to the wild, but he later apologizes to Marty and actually begins to enjoy himself on the island.

Unfortunately, his enjoyment brings on his killer instincts, causing him to attack the resident lemurs and his friends, including Marty. Madly madagascar doesn't "go savage" for long, and is later able to rejoin his friends as they head back to the zoo. Unfortunately, they are madly madagascar on the island, due to the boat running out of fuel. Merry Madagascar Marty helps his friends deliver presents on Christmas, due to Santa's amnesia.

For Christmas, he wants candied yams from Sylvia's. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa In the second film, Marty's role remains fairly important, in which he is the tritagonist. While heading back to New York City in King Julien's plane, they crash land in the middle of the African Savannah, where Alex is reunited with his long-lost parents.

While the other zoosters mingle with other members of their species, Marty joins a herd of zebras that all madly madagascar and sound exactly like him and he always wanted to be the leader of the zebras (since the old leader is deceased). While he enjoys this new lifestyle at first, it becomes evident that he has no individuality in the herd.

Marty also becomes sad when Alex is unable to tell him apart from the other zebras and realizes that Alex doesn't really take Marty's problems into consideration. The two get into a fight madly madagascar Marty leaves a remorseful Alex behind. The next day, Alex makes amends with Marty by pulling him out from the crowd (Alex determines Marty apart from the madly madagascar of the Zebras with the bite mark left on Marty's backside from the previous film). Alex tells Marty what makes him stand out from the herd is that he is a dreamer and a free spirit.

Marty accompanies Alex to unblock a dam set by stranded New Yorkers in the jungle (which caused the watering hole to dry up). When Alex is caught, Marty gets the other animals to help rescue him and Zuba. Marty is last seen fulfilling his dream as the leader of the zebras. Madagascar Kartz Marty appears as a playable racer in Madagascar Kartz.

Madly Madagascar Marty meets a female Okapi who he gains a crush on, but she's not that interested.until Marty finds a love potion (which was made the penguins) and sprays it on!

Now she is paying him attention and unfortunately, so are 90% of the females on the savannah! At first, Marty enjoys it, but after a while, Marty finds that being irresistible isn't what he had hoped and washes off the potion. Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted When Marty and his friends decide that the penguins have taken long enough to return to pick them up, Marty and his friends go to Monte Carlo in order to try and find them. Unfortunately, they find themselves spotted by the humans in the casino as well as finding the penguins.

As a result, Marty and pals find themselves being chased after by animal control. Marty and Alex argued over who should be leader. In order to hide, Marty, Melman, Gloria, and Alex decide to hide with Circus Zaragoza in order to stay away from the animal control. While hiding they find that this particular circus, Vitaly asks who the leader is and Marty identifies Alex as such since he said he was.

The group soon learn they could earn a contract for an American tour with a stop in New York City, when the group finds that this circus is not going to earn that contract without a serious makeover, Marty and pals take it upon themselves to refresh the circus with some new acts.

Marty ends up finding his calling in doing a routine with Stefano in which they are shot out of cannons. When the group ends up getting the contract and reaching Manhattan, Marty and his friends end up realizing that the zoo is not what they remembered after all and decide to instead run off with the circus and continue performing in their acts.after telling their new friends they are sorry and that they've changed their minds.

Marty, Melman and Gloria were happy seeing Alex and Gia together as a couple. Marty sees that he and his friends are finally where they belong, which is truly crack-a-lacking. Penguins of Madagascar: The Movie Marty only appears for a few moments, dancing with the other Zoosters. He and King Julien are singing Afro Circus/I Like To Move It. Appearance Marty in the entire franchise. At one point in the first movie, Alex says he's madly madagascar with white stripes, which is true for all zebras, as he has 30 black, and only 29 white, but this was partly due to the fact that Alex had to give an explanation as to why he was licking Marty, as he thought he was the steak in his dream.

Also often Marty mentions that he is black with white stripes, although, in the herd of zebras, very few zebras have their exact stripes pattern. In reality, no zebras share the same exact pattern of stripes. Marty all paints The colors of Marty can change as the animation progresses, in the first film his skin was dark madly madagascar in the third film his skin was clearer.

Marty enjoys dressing up, in Madagascar 3, Esmeralda, Esperanza, and Ernestina offered to paint him. Finally, it is painted white and blue with several spots of different colors and a colorful wig. He is also seen using his fluorescent paint in his stripes (like the rest of the circus) fluorescent green paint, in the dark his stripes highlight bright green and his body looks black. Personality In the beginning, Marty lived a life of comfort in the Central Park Zoo, but comfort led to boredom and Marty soon saw that his tenth birthday came and went and with that, his life was halfway in.

Marty decided, then, that he must travel to the wild, for at least a short time, never having seen the wild. Marty is enthusiastic and always willing for a great adventure with his pals. However, he also has a madly madagascar about his individuality, madly madagascar he felt like he was no different from the other zebras (who literally are exactly like him).

However, as Alex points out, Marty is a dreamer and a free spirit, which truly makes him stand out from other zebras. Marty is very brave and does not fear anything. He did not hesitate when using the cannon to save Stefano. When he was a kid, Marty was more of a by the books type of guy, who is more into keeping his habitat organized and madly madagascar. Abilities Agility and speed Marty is a zebra, so by nature, he loves to run. He almost managed to escape from Alex in the first film, ran along with his new madly madagascar in the second film and was able to madly madagascar spears madly madagascar the humans who followed Nana.

Climb Marty, despite having hooves, proves to be good climbing mountains as seen in Madagascar 3 when trying to save Stefano. Canon Marty and Stefano have their own number in the circus that consists of being fired from cannons, often that helps them to throw strings for some use, as Gloria and Melman do when they dance on a tightrope.

Relationships Alex Alex and Marty are the best of friends and got through a lot together. They have had a few squabbles, like the Butt Bite Incident, for example, but they're still best friends.

When Alex arrived at the Zoo, Marty said he thought he was a kind of a show-off. Madly madagascar they grew up, they both became best friends.

When Marty told the zoosters his birthday wish, Alex was one of those who did not want to support him but according to Gloria, being his best friend, he was the only one capable of encouraging him. When Marty escaped, Alex was among the first to decide to retrieve it, but after being caught by the police, both began to discuss their differences of opinion, he and Alex got into an argument.

On the island of Madagascar, Alex just wanted to go home, so he hated every idea of Marty about staying there, but after Marty went to convince him, Alex decided to apologize for the way he acted. Marty and the other zoosters then found themselves in danger of being devoured by Alex because of their predatory nature of not eating for days. Marty decided to go to find Alex in the territory of the Fossas and said he would not leave Madagascar without him, then Alex thanked him for not having abandoned him and later defended them all from the Fossas.

In the end, Marty asked for a toast to Alex, expressing that his heart is bigger than his stomach. And that he can be a pain in the butt at times. In Madagascar 2, Marty had many conflicts because he thought he was a unique zebra, but seeing that others could do the same as him and even talked like him, he no longer felt special. The problem worsened when Alex mistook him for another zebra and admitted that his own problems were bigger than Marty's. When Alex decided to leave the reserve to save the watering hole, he wanted to apologize to Marty before leaving.

He recognized him among all the zebras, saying that he is unique because he is a dreamer and a free spirit, both were reconciled madly madagascar Marty decided to accompany him to investigate the river’s problem.

At the end of the film, Marty pretends to be another zebra to annoy Alex, but Alex says that seeing him in the eye, he would always know it would be him, although in reality he recognized him by the bite on his butt.

In Madagascar 3, Marty and the others made him a New York city in mud for Alex on his birthday, then decided to go find the penguins at the casino in Monte Carlo.

During his entry to Monte Carlo, Marty wanted to go down to catch the penguins but Alex announced that he would do it himself, unleashing a discussion about leadership in the zoosters, all finally fell due to the weight of Gloria.

They argued several times, also in the vehicle when Marty drove and Alex shouted at him about the zebras not driving. Finally, facing Vitaly’s rage, Marty smugly admitted that the leader was Alex. When the group arrived at the zoo, Marty said they would not have to be sad if he had never run away, to which Alex assured him not to feel guilty, telling him that escaping was the best thing that could have happened to them.
