"I think consistency is a big word. I think especially in (an) attacking position, people expect you to produce goals or set up goals for your teammates and that comes with being an attacker, so definitely scoring goals helps with the confidence," Bowen says of Salah. "I think it just comes from standards within yourself that you set." "I think you look at every front three that Liverpool have and the work they do off the ball and we played them especially the way they pressed from the jarrod bowen as well, their front three isn't just a case of they don't defend; they just attack.

They do attack and defend and you know, they get their rewards from it." "Of course playing for England is a target of mine for sure, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't," Bowen tells CNN. "I think I'm on the right path, so whether it happens now or in the future, I don't know, all I can do is play my game and do everything I can to try to please the England manager [Gareth Southgate]." [23] [24] On 29 February 2020, in his first start for West Ham, Bowen scored his first goal for the club, in a 3–1 win against Southampton. [26] Style of play [ edit ] Regarded as a quick, direct, mobile, energetic player with good technique and an eye for goal, Jarrod Bowen is predominantly known for his speed, movement, clinical finishing, agility and ball control, as well as his ability to use both his pace and flair on the ball in order to create scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates.

A versatile forward, he primarily plays as a winger on the right flank, a position which allows him to cut into the centre onto his stronger left foot, and either shoot on goal or play quick exchanges with other players and make runs in behind the defence towards goal. He can also play in the centre as main striker, behind the main striker as either an attacking midfielder or second striker.

Whilst at Merthyr Tydfil, for whom he scored five goals on his debut for in August 1996, Sam won a trial with West Ham under the management of Harry Redknapp, before the move fell through due to Merthyr's financial demands for Sam's services.

[33] Sam also scored hat-tricks on his debuts for Forest Green Rovers and Worcester City, leading to the South Wales Argus labelling him a "debut king" upon his transfer to Newport County in January 2004.

[34] In October 2021, Bowen was reported to be in a relationship with reality television personality Dani Dyer. The forward has been a solid fantasy option in most matches this season and has been one of the central offensive threats for West Ham.

Bowen will look for a strong end to the season against already-relegated Norwich next time out. Impact Bowen was once again active in attack against Burnley on Sunday, and in five games in all competitions since the start of April, he has five goals, 10 shots (five on target) and four chances created. He will want to extend that form into next weekend's clash against Chelsea, which have conceded 23 times in 30 Premier League matches this season.

Impact Bowen has already missed the club's jarrod bowen four contests but appears to be trending in the right direction. Prior to his absence, the attacking midfielder was a mainstay in the starting XI and should reclaim his place on the pitch sooner rather than later. With five goals on 21 shots (10 on target) in his last eight appearances, Bowen figures to offer top-half fantasy value once given the all-clear.

Impact Bowen jarrod bowen been out roughly the past 10 days and while he isn't believed to have suffered a serious injury, it's one that will keep him out jarrod bowen weeks. West Ham have been fine without him, as Said Benrahma is an able replacement, but they would surely like for Bowen to be an option again following the break.

Impact This was expected to be the case for Bowen, who continues to get tests done on his leg. It's still unknown how severe the injury is and what it actually is, but it's hard to see him returning before the upcoming international break.

His absence likely means a return to the XI for Said Benrahma. Impact West Ham still don't know Bowen's exact injury after numerous scans which isn't a good sign. He's been the team's best player for a couple months now and without him, they've kind of struggled to hit the back of the net. For now, he's considered a doubt for Sunday's league match against Aston Villa. Impact Bowen was forced off after a heavy challenge, and have to be helped off the pitch. The winger would be a massive loss for West Ham, who rely on him as a key creative threat.

He was replaced by Said Benrahma, who would likely slide into the jarrod bowen XI if Bowen misses any significant amount of time. Impact Bowen was one of the only shiny stars for the Hammers in their lackluster draw Saturday. The midfielder not only carried the offense, but he played much more aggressively off the ball than typical. In the end, it ended up affecting his fantasy output with his only true value coming from set-pieces.

Over his last five appearances, he is averaging, 2.6 shots, 0.8 created chances, 3.8 crosses, 2.0 corners, 0.8 tackles and 1.2 interceptions per 90 minutes in all competitions. Impact Bowen was easily the man of the match for Sunday's draw, scoring and assisting for the other goal in the match.

Bowen is a strong fantasy play who has been excellent ever since joining the Premier League. Bowen now has 16 goal contributions in 24 starts, next up is a Saturday trip to the high-flying Newcastle United. Fox Sports™ and © 2022 Fox Media LLC and Fox Sports Interactive Media, LLC.
