Product arrived warm and very soft. Threw it in the fridge and I now have great butter. Butter does not go bad it goes rancid. If it tastes good your good to go. Frreeze the extra at 0F and it lasts indefinitely I bought this butter as a more healthful alternative to grocery store butter (I can't find Kerrygold in local stores).

Butter from grass-fed cows should be lower in omega 6 fats,and therefore it should be healthier. The appearance is a bit different than the other major brands (deeper golden color), and the flavor is different as well. There is a slight herbal topnote to the butter (similar to dill weed); salted butter herbal note gives a refreshing aspect.

There are two downsides to this butter though, and they are: Price (it's pretty expensive), and there is a very slight barnyard/dirty aftertaste. If it wasn't salted butter this aftertaste, I would give this butter five stars.

It's too bad this isn't available in local stores, because if it was, I probably wouldn't buy anything else. As it stands, I don't know whether I will buy it regularly; shipping a cooler with 10# of butter is expensive.
